Aerafield, im only rank 2906 in 4v4 OST, but thats not the point here, you think you would leave a tiger1 alone to deal with 2-3 riflemen,with zooks and win against them, perhaps the nerfs haven't really sunk in yet with some players, and they thought they could still win such engagements.

premium heavy tanks should have an impact in the game, i have seen better players than me lose tigers to laughable small amounts of zooks/penals etc, where even a pz4 would either outrun or outgun the mini-blob. |
Before we start, gotta say that im an OST main.
Out of all the rocket arty in the game, the Calliope seems to me to have the fewest drawbacks/cons compared to its peers, this being durability and flat trajectory/low reaction time for enemy being perhaps its biggest pros.
leaving the fact out that im a semi-noob. but they are hard/impossible to kill with offmap/call-ins, and counterbattery on lefh 105 is for the most time useless against them. And if you go with the USF commander with Rangers+zooks and calliope, and a (un)healty dose of jacksons, diving in to eleminate the Calliope's with inf or tanks can be a very costly/impossible affair.
so then i ask you boys, without pointing out the fact that im noob, how do you effectively kill these as OST? or are they in their current state just OP? |
it could benefit from a change to make a place for it in the meta now, perhaps drop the barrage ability in favour for increased ROF or give it a hp boost to avoid it getting engine dmg from a single faust? |
cheapest of all the LV's in game? suppose something has to be cheap/bottom tier enough to only be a one-trick-pony.
But if you give M3A1 the flare ability vet 2ish, you could scout well ahead if you wanna perform a small and quick attack on unguarded arty/okw base/fuel cache + other juicy stuff with a penal batt in the boot.
perhaps even give it mobile camoflage? so it can be effective mid-late game to deliver a sneaky satchel somewhere? |
Think zis-3 and su-76 are balancing each other out somewhat, with zis-3 having better rate of fire? and quicker cooldown for barrage ability, but slow and soft, while su-76 sacrifices barrage cooldown and dpm?
su-76 being cheap and at 8 popcost, it sits there fine, if one would like to buff the HP of the su-76, it needs to be bumped up to 10 popcost IMHO. Or remove/nerf some of its features to make it more durable and deadly vs panthers etc to keep it down at the low cost/pop |
I feel that the Tiger 1 has fallen from grace, it used to be worth the investment and pop-cost. Used to be a jack-of-all-trades. now with the AI DMG nerf, it feels its become just a dmg sponge like the churchill, Can't DMG much, but can take hits, but being a more expensive and must have the right commander with smoke dischargers to have same efffect as a churchill.
Being so expensive and high CP mark, and if destroyed, there is the waiting time for a re-deploy.
As it stands, Tiger 1 is 640 MP and 230 fuel? 22-23 pop? You don't get your money's worth now, and IMHO furthers the passive defend playstyle of OST, not having a decent breakthrough tank.
the pre-nerf Tiger was perhaps OP, but now it is UP, tune up the AI-DMG a notch or two again is my opinion |
gotta agree that the scout car needs another function as well, compared to other early LV's.
-give it a capture point function like the kubel?
-able to put in mortar team and let it function like a mortar half-track?
-spotting flare ability like the mortar team, for good spotting ability? |
