I agree that conscripts deserve a stock upgrade for scaling, like it has been suggested here after unlocking T3 or T4, I would suggest replace all 6 rifles with better rifles for medium and long range this would keep their mobility, and you wouldn't have another LMG blob in the game since the conscripts durability wouldn't change losing models would mean losing dps.
I think it would have to be pricy in order to keep people from spaming it and since its too replace all rifles, I would go for a 120 muni, 20 muni a rifle doesn't sound that bad, otherwise you run the risk of conscript spam rush to T3 or 4 and equip all at same time, and its not like soviets have many other places to spend their munitions on.
this upgrade would make them beat grens at range that dont have LMG however since they would lose models fast their dps would go down when facing LMG grens.

Thread: Stock units vs IS-213 Nov 2014, 21:19 PM
So this game my opponent went for T2 into IS-2 call in with shocks, I built all Tiers as ostheer, the first IS2 went down to a stug backed by pack 40 supporting a retreating p4 that had engine damage. The second IS2 survived and took out my stug because the flame arty makes the game in my pc really slow even had the disconnect and then game speeds up too catch up and i lose stug and pack. Later on got t4 and went for panther, opponent got a second IS-2 and again the flame arty to decrew my packs, there was a moment were it looked like I had lost the game but my opponent didn't kill the decrewed packs so that allowed me to come back plus the IS-2 take a long time to repair compared to my panther. I was retreating back after attacking the IS-2 being repaired one had engine damage so my opponent chased my panther with only one my packs were going back to base and managed to get there just in time to take out the IS-2 and I got a vet3 panther from that engagement but my opponent gave up after that. I took a long time to choose a doctrine then decided to get g43 to fight the shoks rather than the tiger, everyone uses tiger I like to try different stuff. The flame arty is really strong even though I would keep my packs separated so the arty wouldn't get both it would decrew the pack without chance for escape. In: Replays |
Thread: 2v2 Double pio vs sniper opening9 Nov 2014, 13:16 PM
In this game facing double soviets was expecting sniper since one of the players had 3 bulletins for sniper went for double pio as ostheer gives me more capping allowing me to tech faster to rush scout car, since I was facing sniper didn't bother with support weapons those are easy targets for snipers so I went for grens with LMG. The pios were effective meat shields and kept the snipers at bay long enough for scout car, but those snipers were really lucky only got one on retreat the others always survived but my ally got a lot of them with support guns, later got ostwind at the same time lost scout car Late game was heavy armor vs heavy armor T34-85 vs OKW panther and Tiger vs IS-2 I believe this opening is less effective on smaller maps because if you force retreat sniper it comes back really fast but these maps with lots of room for maneuver make good use of terrain hiding units when possible In: Replays |
Thread: Seeking Help as a player in 2v27 Nov 2014, 08:34 AM
To counter snipers in team games, well ever since the kunbel buff I don't really have a problem with OKW but if that isn't enough I though about a follow up but haven't tried it yet. Going for Flack HT and assuming you have been active with kunbel it should have vet1 at least, last time I checked the HT has attack ground so next time sniper fires use the kunbel vet ability it shows sniper even cloaked on mini map, if you don't see it moving after the shot use attack ground were he was last seen, this might work but Honestly again haven't tried it, there is always fast Stuka or the support gun and pray to RNG. As Ostheer is a bit trickier since your mainline infantry is more expensive and is 4 man squad every sniper shot is a lot more devastating, but just hold for scout car and don't forget to get minesweepers or else you get a really disappointing outcome, worst is vs double soviet T1, T2 there might be a Zis to greet your scout car The rest isn't that hard to counter, vs fast cars ostheer has faust and HMG, OKW just needs to hold long enough for shrek but if all else fails AT gun is available and seems a lot more viable these days. Against the Rifles well need to micro your forces better and use houses, also when rifles use houses, as ostheer early mortar in team games is usually a good idea and spend first 60 muni on flamer for pio, as OKW search for blind spots in the house or places with just one window, park your forces there behind cover preferably, grenades are usually a waste they just hope out and back in, unless you are using the 10 muni doctrine nades these things are wrecking houses nowadays, or use stuka or support gun. For ISU, I feel forced to choose Elephant with Ostheer whenever I see ISU or B4 doctrines for OKW well JT seems to be the most reliable way. Hope this helps. In: COH2 Gameplay |
Thread: 3v3 german heavies fell4 Nov 2014, 15:38 PM
So many KT and Tiger and at least 2 JT fell in this game, managed to hold KT and Tiger assault with just At guns and Guards until T34-85 and IS-2 hit the field. And on top of that the usual OKW blob but dam the number of heavy tanks that fell one after the other we came really close to losing made an awesome comeback. Never give in to despair In: Replays |
Thread: Improving my Macro3 Nov 2014, 21:48 PM
Well the first part of your problem is prety much what has already been suggested here, I would just add glancing over he mini map to check your base to make sure no squad is just sitting there, and shift command your engies laying mines so they move away afterwards. As for not knowing what to tech too or what units to get, you should always have a though out teching path in advance. Example: when I play soviets there are many options, and I usually make choices in advance T1 vs OKW, T2 vs Ostheer into T4 if I choose Guards motor doctrine, T3 if I choose the IS2. As for units it sometimes better wait in order to get the right counter, but you should always be able to predict what you will need. Example vs OKW after killing a kunbel with m3 haven't seen a forward medic truck, you can expect either flack HT or puma, you can get guards and At nades or go T1, T2 and go for zis in advance since it also has barrage ability and you can lay mines and bait puma. So basically keep an eye on your unit list on top right corner and mini map, create a tech path in advance off games that changes according to maps, and can be adapted to the situation, try to predict your opponents next move or just wait for it before committing to new units. For example would be pretty bad to get a T-70 when a puma rolls out. Hope this helps In: Strategy Desk |
Thread: 2v2 kathy on blob3 Nov 2014, 14:57 PM
So this game is an example of the blobing WFA introduced, I was fighting Ostheer lots of decision making he keeps my units at range with the mg42 threat so the grens can win the engagements I draw away the grens to a cutoff exposing the mg right flank decrewing it with m3. Suddenly OKW blob shows up just move all units forward who needs tactics? not that the US is any different I got lucky and didn't lose a squad on retreat, went to T4 got SU-76 because I saw p2, SU-85 usually has a hard time hitting it plus at least the SU-76 has a barrage although inaccurate it can be devastating to a blob, later the kathy rolled in my ally had shermans around and ostheer moved 2 packs at the same time the OKW blob was passing by Kathy decrewed both packs with first barrage and proceeded to murder the blob resulting in a surrender. Pretty much the only Stock options in soviet army to deal with blobs with one blow are demo and kathy In: Replays |
Thread: 2v2 or rather 1v131 Oct 2014, 07:04 AM
So in this game I feel this was a decent player and a noob on each team I completely reckt my opponent and he instantly left after first engagement. After that was annoying capping from AI and trying to help my ally who also left later on, even though we were wining in map control and vps, but OKW superior armor and elite infantry kept the opponent in the game, the number of times a panther just rushed to my lines and escaped with a sliver of health after killing a sherman is just horrible especially since it would drive past my rifle squads who almost never trow their AT nades, in the end, the game was about to turn clearly in axis favor but low vp count assure me a win. There was a ober squad decapping center vp while I was recaping north vp had priest fire at mid and a rifle squad trow a nade, priest got 3 models in first shot and nade killed the last model preventing the mid vp from being decapped draining the last vps giving the win. Now that units actually stay in cover it is so much easier to play around kunbel and MG42 with just infantry In: Replays |
Thread: Dealing with OKW as US in 1v1?25 Oct 2014, 20:59 PM
Well vs OKW I usually skip the AAHT unless I find a forward medic truck (meaning no puma), the m20 is a must if you cant kill kubel with just rifles and you can also plant a few mines as they immobilize tanks and one shot pumas. If the panther goes down as soon as it comes out due to a mine it is gg for most players. I think having more than one light vehicle as US becomes to much too micro. As far as counters to falshims doctrinal, paratroopers with LMG or Thompson, infantry company for the LMG on rifles these are just the most efficient ways in my opinion. Stock counters to falshm a sherman with HE rounds or m8, but when falshm spawns they are really squishy, just dont charge at them from a distance since they deal good damage at all ranges. If you are not going airborne try teching to captain instead of getting the AAHT its more useful in the long run, if you are airborne you can just drop an AT gun so you can go straight to major and get a sherman much more durable and the AI with HE rounds very good, the n8 is also good but ever since the direct fire was removed it can no longer keep a puma at bay. Next patch I believe there will be a significant buff to bars so you can try bars on rifles to fight those falshm but once they vet 3 and up, use tanks or arty don't bother with infantry you will take heavy casualties and bleed a lot of mp. |
Thread: Satchel on Blob IS2 vs KT22 Oct 2014, 16:41 PM
So in this game I went T1 and T2 seems like a really strong opening vs OKW as m3 is devastating followed by couple of maxims and a zis you can lock OKW and take out forward trucks, managed taking out the Flack Truck as soon as it went up. A satchel took out a ost bunker and a scout car that was driving trough, later I though I got lucky with a shoks nade in a blob until I followed it up with satchel and flame arty now that was lucky, went T4 got kathy and killed ober squads barraging close range. Late game was shoks with ober LMG and 2 IS-2 vs 2 KT In: Replays |
