Thread: Jagdpanzer 4 - Underrated and Underused?11 May 2015, 07:33 AM JP4 (with vet) is OP. Seen some games where a JP4 was vet 5 and while in stealth and first shot it does to most of the tanks 50% of his healthbar. Snipers usually operate around a pack, teller or gren to be safe. The most successful option takes a bit to setup but basically requires you to push on one front with all your rifles spread out so you don't get pinned and basically swarm towards the sniper. Most times when faced with such a dangerous threat the sniper will retreat. The stuart will be then come from another direction and basically meet the sniper in the base. If he retreats everything then hold off and try again. The other option is try to position a bar squad (Lt) or para with smg in the retreat path when you push towards the sniper with the rest of your rifles. Can be tricky and often futile but your best chance to kill it is on retreat, in my experience. Sure this one way to do it, but will not work with someone that can use a sniper by it's full potential. Before the sniper was buffed I got some insane games with atleast 80 kills. But I surely had to babysit it. After the buff I also use them but now I give my other troops some more attention. Also I don't retreat it right away, but I will just hold fire, move into cover and retreat to the base in cover. Not gonna lose my sniper to a m20 or stuart. But the biggest part of me when losing my sniper is the somewhat lesser attention thst I give it. Just get the focus of the sniperuser to something other important and then strike! Thread: The memoirs of Napalm 5 May 2015, 20:24 PM I personally think the NDA sucks. The main reason for it is that I've seen games in which the NDA is way better and really progresses the game. If we have to wait 6 months for a 'small' patch I feel gardened by Relic. And hard also. When there is something broken (PTRS) relic waits already over a month to fix it. Why can't they do it a bit faster and garden the communitiy less. Edit: Next to it, it would be nice to have more responce from Relic on this forum, so we feel that they read our stuff and think with us. Some ideas are great, others are complete crap. The Soviet Sniper team has always been vulnerable to Mortars because of this reason. The difference was that the soviet team could sometimes survive with 1 man while the german sniper could not. Instead of fixing it by making it fair (i.e. German sniper only killed on direct hits, soviets still vulnerable to AoE with 46hp models), they granted the axis sniper the ability to take mortars to the face and live while the Soviet teams still die if a shell lands 2 meters next to them. 70% of all the times I only kill 1 model of the sov sniper and not 2. Thread: Wehrmacht Sniper op now?28 Apr 2015, 07:56 AM Lately I use the sniper really much. Before it's hp buff I also used it, but I really had to baby sit it the whole game. Eventhough I also had the 50+ kills on it, so I don't think the hp does effect that as much. On that point I do want to mention that it should have a hp nerf of 2 hp (yes 2 hp) to 80, so it will get shot by a direct hit. I don't think that I would be still alive if I had a frontal pack howitzer shot, mortar hit or even a katushya rocket on my face. It seems odd, and I do have a replay, which has been casted by tightrope where I even headed a pack howie shot for 2 times and make it out alive. Sure, it is nice to keep your sniper alive, since the 360 mp investment paid off, but it should have been dead 2 times. On the hand with countersniping for the soviets it's true that you only have to shoot ones (count it as a hit) and the german sniper has to fire 2 shots. But mostly of the times (in my case) my sniper is already vet 1 and the incendiary shot takes mostly of the time both sov snipers out. Only part that I see where it should be nerfed is the part of the 82 hp to 80 hp, so it won't be a god. In: COH2 Balance
