Ost and sov have halftrack, The USF, OKW, and UKF don't.
It's correct that they have their halftracks. The problem which those units have, is that they don't have a retreat point ability. So at a point that you HAVEto retreat, you will have to come back from your starting area, which the other 3 factions doesn't have to do.
So because of that I've voted yes. |
I still think 20 Pop Cap for a 17 Pounder Emplacement is kind of ridiculous. Yes its very powerful but 1/5th of your army good? Ehhhh
It should have a bit more popcap than the Pak-43. So 15 would be way better. The extra 3 pop cap is noticeable in the endurance of the AT-gun. Pak-43 is snipeable and you can get the operational crew on it away with flames, which is not the case at the 17 Pounder. (Excluding the fact that a fire barrage will do lots of damage against it) |
Perhaps they have this high reinforce cost since they're bloody OP when they're in cover. Can't do shit against it. But 30 mp per model would be way better. |
It's indeed some time to just give those guys a bit of a buff. Only VonIvan would use Irregulars for his troll tactics |
Until yesterday I wasnt aware how painful and powerful double ISG strat is.
It just brutal.
First of all, shell's travel time. It's very, very short. When compare to mortar, shell is in the air half of that time.
Second thing, and most important is OKW MP float.
Leig in it's own is not super weapon. It's just OKW which can easily afford to get double leigs pretty fast.
Try to get two 120mm in first 15min or 2 mortar emplacement I mean, you can get them but your map presence will be devastating for you.
At 10-15min you can't even hide behind green cover because double leigs are already shooting at you without any big problems with map presence for OKW.
During my XXXX hours, I played with sniper maybe hmmm... 20 times and Im pure pudding playing with sniper strat, yet I tried to go for sniper with Guards and Penals support behind green cover and slowly moving forward.
Those legis completly shutted down cover play. With pretty nice rate of fire, short travel time, and MP float which allows to get 2 of them so fast, it's devastating.
But the problem lies not around leig but around OKW which is floating MP like hell. And when you have such a huge float, why not make dobule or even triple leig?
Speaking of 2v2
If you watch to our 3v3 inhouse game 2 days ago where I went 2x LeIG is just completely wrecked the guys up, we weren't even rolling into the medium-heavy tanks.
I just think that the scatter should go up for a bit and that it'll be much better. |
I think there is a guide here on coh2.org in which the optimal usage for both the howie and the isg is explained. Basically, you shouldn't use them as indirect fire weapons because they both suck more or less at it. The pack howie sucks more, but the isg isn't a wonder weapon either. Yeah, it will land a couple of shots, but regular mortars are better.
The optimal usage for both is kinda like you should use an MG. Close to the frontline, but obviously not in the very first line. They should fire at like medium range with a direct line of sight so that they can fire directly instead of indirectly. That means a lower trajectory and a faster projectile travel time to target, which means that the target is likely still where it was when the round was fired, and then it hits, with devastating effect, especially in the case of the pack howie.
In short: Don't use the pack howie like a mortar. Use it like a backup MG. You will find it's a beast.
Better than regular mortars I've never seen any mortar so accurate. Currently the Pack howie and the ISG are really accurate. The point where the ISG is better is mainly because of it's range (new patch 115 vs whatever range the packhowie has) |
Just let it start on the 20th, enough time for the big boys! |
Just buff the Pz4's penetration so it can now reliably penetrate the med-heavy tanks armour. They really need ti for the upcoming USF armour buff. |
Dude, Panther kills infantry better than T34-76 thanks to MG upgrade which doesn't miss as T34 gun. Remember times when M3 was a real threat for all infantry because its speed was equal back speed? It nerfed today and you won't escape from grenadier's faust when moving backwards. I think Panther needs the same.
And about tech price - Soviets cannot build IS-1 in Soviet T4! I'm ready to pay 600 mp and 180 fuel for it but for some reason only Germans can have non-doctrinal heavy tanks like Panther and KT.
I got the feeling that you're talking about the OKW Panther, which can kill infantry quite good. Ostheer panther is just a piece of crap against infantry. |
As the title suggests, current Panzer 4 for both Pr0stheer and OKW is in a bad spot. It shreds infantry a little bit too good and struggles against med to heavy targets. What I offer is, reduce its AoE and its damage a bit against infantry, keep its damage against vehicles as the same and increase its penetration. It barely penetrates Cromwells+Shermans. It actually seems like low-velocity 75mm Sherman AP has exact the same penetration as a high velocity KwK40-L48 German cannon. Also, the Command Panzer 4 is fine and it needs a little bit more love against infantry.
Their are both fine as they are. OKW Pz4 only becomes really good when it's vet 2+. But it costs even more than a T34/85 that still does insane damage to the Pz4. Ostheer Pz4 should get the armour upgrade immediatly when you start with that tank, so that it can finaly take some good hits.
Don't nerf it, please buff it a small bit. It's good against infantry (thank god) and it's mediocre against tanks (Fine for me) |
