tbh, men of war for me is in a rather weird spot.
It's that odd place where it is neither a WW2 simulator, but nor it is an arcade game like coh.
Which makes it for me, a very odd game to play, if i want arcade, i go play coh, if i want simulator ww2, i just go play graviteam tactics or something.. |
Ok don't buff cons, but buff penals.
Ideally, i'd like to see penals renamed to strelky (but whatever will never happen)
give the penals 6 gaurd mosins, and a 1x dp upgrade , or maybe make them start with the DP, not sure (340 mp for example)
give gaurds svt-40s. |
statwise mg34 > mg42 > m1919 > dp 28 |
While with these changes su-76 might become somewhat usefull, it will still be totally useless in team games being overshadowed by the M8A1.
What relic needs to do is to let su-76 be able to merge with easy eights.
Merging 2 su-76s into an easy eight gives you a pershing.

As Ive pointed out, Cons and Grens are currently pegged to each other in terms of Vet stats.
They are identical.
Upsetting that with a Vet stat change would have a chain effect requiring someting be changed on Gren Vet stats as well.
Ultimately it would result, as I pointed out, in Cons scaling for free, alongside their utility, whereas Grens would be even more shoehorned into having to invest in LMGs, at cost, in order to stay competetive. It forces even more LMG Gren centric builds than is alreasy the case.
Consider a lategame situation with say 3Cons and 3 Grens, all at V3, the Cons would be scaling for free, as well as having Oorah/Merge, whereas the Grens would have had to pay 180Muni total just not to lose to them in DPS (let alone still lacking Oorah or Merge equivalents).
And when did the discussion turn to buffing Cons already at V1-V2 stages in the match?
I thought this was about V3 period of lategame?
One thing to note, veterancy isin't free. Veterancy gets paid for in blood. |
i use a-move for everything.
That's how i win |
I honestly don't understand some people here.
They don't want buffs to conscripts OR penals yet they want nerfs to soviet snipers and maxims.
Currently, the backbone and bulk of the soviet army is pretty much snipers and maxims.
Nerfing them would leave the soviet army with no backbone or bulk.
Because soviet infantry in this game for some reason was stripped of all its training and weapons.
Tbh, this is the problem with soviets i feel.
You see, back in coh 1, all sides had decent non doctrinal INF. wehr had grenadiers or KCH, PE had panzergrenadiers, brits had infantry section, and USA had bar RIFLES with veterancy.
Now in coh 2, ALL sides have decent non doctrinal infantry, except soviets.
Even the top, best long range infantry in the game, gaurds, are slightly outmatched by lmg grens... |
The best trap/ambush doctrine is by far the storm doctrine.

5 munitions, 40 damage, crew shock on hit, no engine damage
