You need the Schwer to lock down sectors/cut offs because of OKW's reduced map presence, you can delay making one sure but you normally always want to eventually make one.
The KT without teching costs is still the second most expensive tank in the game at 393 fuel, with the Jadgtiger coming in at 439.
Then you should try T1+T2 (T2+T3) with Jadgpanzer and Fusiliers, Jaegers or Falchs. |
I wouldn't call the core of OKW's design "pointless" but I specifically mentioned that if you don't count teching costs it's the most expensive one in the game game.
If you make a Schwer (which you will always do as OKW), then your spending about the same fuel as a Soviet player is.

That's the point! If you dont count - because counting would make Katy more expensive, and you what to show Stuka as most expensive but on the other hand you are saying that KT costs pudding load of fuel with all tech because it suits you more in that case.

Stock units would be more expensive, and less used. I don't think you understand how much fuel investment there is for OKW or Ostheer to acquire said tanks such as Panthers and KT's.
It's better for Allies for the 85's, Ez8's and IS2's to be call in's, as it makes them cheaper.
A OKW Panther is worth as much as an IS2;
Unadjusted: 175 + 80 = 255
Adjusted: (175/.66)+(80/.66)= 386.
Wrong, 80 fuel is already adjusted from 120. You gonna ask me, how do I know that, well it's the cheapest T4, with most powerful units and insane flak so high price is justified, yet it's the cheapest, why? Because it's adjusted. Just like LMG.
Ofc, but getting 1 Panther at 15 then basically no armor for a long, long time is fairly is still a fairly big handicap.
1 Panther isn't going to stop 2 85's or an IS2. With Ost your paying out of the ass for teching costs even more.

Not counting teching costs, at all here. The Stuka with OKW's fuel penalty is 150 fuel which is more than Soviet T4. The 120 doesn't require teching at all, and it's role is different to that of the Stuka's.
That's the point, your are counting tech cost only when it suits you.

Personally I would love all faction to get Ostheer teching (+ something extra like Lt, Med, and somthething for Ost ans Sov as an upgrade to the building).
Asymetrical design is pudding unless you are gradening awesome at balancing games (well... Relic is not).
