Additionally, Ostheer and OKW have good DPS options for dealing with Soviet weapon crews, LMG Grenadiers can pick off models from further away and Sturmpioneers or Panzergrenadiers can shred them with a flank. Before anyone mentions the Western allies, USF and UKF have powerful mainline infantry to back up their crew weapons. At the very least they should get the Pathfinder treatment, its unfair that some unit crews get nerfed but others don't. In: COH2 Balance

By the way, I don't know if I was being clear, but I didn't literally mean manpower bleed (Volks and OKW in general bleed very little MP), I meant losing engagements and subsequently map control. Ah yes, veterancy is important on MGs because they are very likely to survive. When you are on the backfoot I would rather have an MG that is cheaper and also isn't as punishing to lose if the other player captures it. The most glaring issue with the okw tank selection is that they have no AI tanks and brumbar to break an AT line I'm no Ost player but I thought PGs with shrecks are a meme. The PIV J lets you be more aggressive against T34s, Cromwells, and M4s. That amounts to a lot. Very true that OKW's tank selection doesn't have many AI options, that's one of the faction's weaknesses. It can't really break a support line since LeIGs are bad and the Stuka/KT are inflexible. But on the other hand the armor game is so much easier for OKW because it is harder to be swarmed by mediums or fenced out by 60 range TDs because of the JPIV. Might I also mention OKW has more flexible mines? In: COH2 Gameplay

And the game can't tell how imbalanced units you are using are and if the game can tell it, so can the deves and fix it. Please stop mental gymnastics to excuse P2win CoHo had. The devs didn't need to fix imbalance because they would give even more bonus ELO than what is already normal in most ranked-based games. The game would rate each player's units and decide who was more favored to win. Now do you understand? I'm not even asking for this to become the automatch standard anyway, I just want a mod that can work this way. In: COH2 Gameplay

All allied faction have access to a light tank that can easily push the luchs/flak ht back with no impact and a lot of fuel wasted. if you go for a puma then you can beat the aec/stuart/t70 but then need to mothball it until the allied medium tanks arrive. all the while the allies gain infantry superiority because you have no obers. As for the mg34. It works as a suppressor but not as a damage dealer or lv killer. the leigh is just worse than a regular mortar. and the tanks selection of the okw is just inferior compared to the ostheers. The Flak HT is very powerful and while it can be pushed back it easily bullies Allied infantry. In the hands of a good player it can easily help win map control. The Luchs I'll admit is in a bad spot with regards to timing. I don't think you understand what I meant with the PIV J. OKW doesn't struggle before the PIV J comes out because of bad LVs or support weapons, they struggle because Volks don't scale and Obers have low field presence. The PIV J is so crucial because it stops the bleed. As for the MG34, it's one of my favorite MGs precisely because it does exactly what an MG needs to do and it its cheaper without the extra unnecessary stuff. The LeIG is pretty bad, yeah, but mortars aren't exactly used that much in 1v1s anyway. And as for the tank lineup, I simply must disagree. While OKW doesn't have a fallback TD like the StuG they do have the only Axis 60 range TD along with the best non-doctrinal medium tank in the game. Allied mediums actually have a chance against the regular PIV but not the PIV J. In: COH2 Gameplay

And this is true: SP , obers and vg are stronger than the ostheer´s grens by a large margin. But at the same time OKW support weapons and light vehicle selection are absolutely shit. So okw players play by their only strength: stall to obers and p4 rush at higher levels of play support weapons really make a difference. and at those levels you really see the okw struggling. Meh. OKW's light vehicles and team weapons are underrated. The Rak is pretty bad at high level play but the MG34, Puma, and Flak HT are arguably top tier. On the other hand Sturms are garbage past 5 minutes, Volks don't scale, and Obers have low field presence. Really all OKW play seems to rely on waiting for the PIV J, the PIV J carries the faction when it arrives. In: COH2 Gameplay
