Here's a classic vCoH 2 game... Mines, explosions, and demo charges turned the Minsk Pocket into a bloody mess of mangled body parts.
Enjoy your visceral experience.
Thanks for the game, Casparitus! |
Here's a classic example of beating Rifle company as a Wehrmacht player. It was by no means easy, but it was an unexpectedly short game of 22 minutes. There were many intense firefights in the middle for the VP and very good grenade play by the US player.
Thanks for the gg Stoned_Killer |
A well played 1v1 on Minsk Pocket, USF vs. Wehrmacht.
I was saved by a Tiger Ace and my opponents insistence on using Shermans to take out the Tiger Ace. I love it when it runs down rifle squads... revenge is sweet |
This replay consists of 3 USSR 1 USF vs. 3 OKW 1 Wehrmacht (myself being the latter). I defended the forest on the right, then sallied forth to attack the enemy base sectors. Early game, it was much interesting; it almost felt like a 1v1 against my Soviet opponent. Impressive micro and sniper play on both sides (even some counter-sniping on my part!), extravagant use of mines as a defensive tool, and some interesting use of SU-76s.
I'd highly recommend watching this, at least the right side of the map. The vet 1 222 ability can really be a godsend in preparing for enemy assaults. |
Here's a nice 18 minute 1v1.
I don't think I've been beat that bad in a long time... Any tips or help would be appreciated.
My thoughts:
In hindsight, I should have gone with LT tech and rushed an M20; I was expecting a quick luchs and figured going captain would help. when I saw the med truck, I knew I had to get a Stuart, as that was the best mobile AI I would get out of the captain. It performed very well, helping me take out the Flak building.
When it was destroyed, my opponent was right to get a Jagdpanzer, although by that time I had back teched to LT. It really wasn't smart, as I already had an HMG squad, but I thought getting another rifle squad would do me some good.
I lost two of my four rifle squads... I just got out-microed by my opponent.
Should I have gone nades to smoke the early kubel? Why didn't two bazooka rounds kill the (double vet?) Kubel (Relic, we need the bazooka to not be absolutely terrible against light, minimally armored vehicles). Should I have watched my munitions and upgraded to BARs earlier? Should I have gone airborne?
I started the game assuming my opponent would go for a Puma then fast Luchs (Is this popular in 1v1, or is Puma too costly for a quick Luchs?). I decided to try to make my experience more interesting, and chose airborne company instead of my typical Infantry company build. My pathfinder performed excellently throughout the entire match, and I did not lose the squad.
NB: I fucked up my capping order and forgot to get the point connecting my fuel to my base.

Just looking for some advice on this replay... I was outplayed. Brilliant soviet micro, flanking, etc. on my opponent's part.
There was one point after a few minutes where I got pushed off the muni point (for the first time)... My opponent had a critical mass of infantry from three sides.
I could've avoided that if I would've paid more attention to my mp income and purchased one (or two) Panzer Grenadiers. Would that have saved me in the early game?
Any tips, things I did wrong, suggested capping order, etc., lemme know!
Thanks guys. |
Well I had good enough PC to run game smoothly with maximum image quality and high textures before this patch Now its a slideshow.
That must be pricey!!! I have an MSi GE70: Intel i7-4700MQ, Nvidia GTX 765M (with 2 GB GDDR5), 12 GB of DDR3 RAM. My graphics card is ranked in the lower hundreds for quality, my processor is in the 150s. I got it 11 months ago and it was on sale for about $1100 USD. |
