CHURCHILL with a 17 pounder? OMG KILL RELIC NOW
Wunderwaffe ist NUR fur Fatherland! |
Ideally in CoH3 larger gamemodes will have separate balancing done to them in some fashion. That's really the best way to help large modes shine, as you simply can't expect 1v1s and 4v4s to perform the same way.
CoH2's 4v4 mode simply isnt suited to "tournament" level play due to systemic issues with critical mass, and certain units' efficiency.
I never understood why they didn't translated DoW2 multiplayer eco into CoH2, it clearly proved a functional feature and helped tremendously with balancing and game pace. |
Because CoH1 one was shit and took away control from the squad on contested point? |
Holographic sights
Google yourself "Mark III free gun reflector sight".
Italy was the first time the Western Allies started to face Panthers and had huge problems with it. They are simply taking that out from the theatre by adding in the Black Prince (post war prototype). For me that looks like lazy balancing (mirroring stuff).
Considering that they spoke a lot about what a special theatre Italy is and considering that they are inculding a lot of early war stuff (early stuart model, crusader AA, bison) a churchill with a 17p feels absolutely out of place.
The game is supposed to be different from the previous COHs which all ended up in an arms race for the super late war tanks. Thought this game was going to be different (PIII vs Grants etc). Quite disappointed taht it is just the usual.
Were you asleep for last 3 years of CoH2 patch cycle?
Community clearly wants that. |
I assume you got this from the unsourced Wikipedia article? Tanks-encyclopedia states that one prototype Ostwind was used in France and that Ostwind(s) were used in the Ardennes and at Lake Balaton.
And making a questionable decision in CoH2 should also not justify making an even more questionable one in CoH3
All the unit swaps between factions we've got recently did't gave you memo?
CoH is WW2 themed game, not historically accurate one. |
44 ostwinds were ever made, right at the end of the war, 6 were ready by May of 1945.
Relic made it look like it was main AA vehicle of axis since both armies have it, one stock.
Just leaving it out there. |

.org guys anyone?
"We've had a 70-player council for three years now," executive producer David Littman tells me.
"And they've been playing the game for three years." He recalls that, during the very earliest days of the game, players were brought in almost straight away. During the first couple of days it was just Littman, then some team members joined him, and then ten of the top players from around the world—modders, map makers, competitive players—were invited to sit down with Relic. The studio used them to help come up with the foundations of what would become Company of Heroes 3, right down to the setting.
So that's a lesson they took after DoW3 fiasco then, where they haven't told anyone at all. |
Why are there Churchills with 17 pounders in the steam trailer pictures? Those didn't take part in the war, let alone 1943 Italy. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Why OKW has 50mm puma as stock unit? There was only a tiny handful of them.
Because its a game about WW2, not WW2 sim. |
Well, color me surprised. |
Hope Relic takes the best parts from vCoH and CoH2 and makes an epic sequel.
Last time they have made an attempt at something like that, we got DoW3. |
