I agree that the way Relic tends to balance things is rather subpar. The bad thing is, out of all people who attempted to balance coh2 from relic, PQ did best job, so if I were you I would lower the bar of expectation. It's not that hard to just rush a buttload of cons/rifles or shocks up to someone and thrash them. I'm quite sure that specifically with this in mind there is this little thing they can build from T0. Also, they get 50% rec acc modifier and 2x 30% acc modifier with vet, they will obliterate any other infantry in slugfest with time while still being cheapest to maintain themselves. In: COH2 Balance

I don't remember PE starting with most powerful starter unit AND ketten. I also don't remember ketten being more durable then 221, which truck is. And lastly, I don't remember this being coh1 we talk about, which had completely different balance. Also, if something in game is broken, you fix it, not scream L2P while abusing it. So it would do absolutely nothing that current ELO matchmaking does except maybe increased the wait time for imbalanced matchup. At the end, it always boils down to how many players play the game in multiplayer in chosen bracket. Even the best, most efficient engine in the world will be perceived as bad and useless if you don't have the fuel to make it run. Same with matchmaking, only increasing player base will help, nothing else and that can be done by improving game balance to a competitive level, which means regular balance patches and advertising the game so there will be stream of new players. And relic is extremely unwilling to do any of this at the moment and while there was a period where balance patches were frequent and really improved the game, that seems to be gone now as well, one would say because balance is getting better, but clearly OKW existence and extremely stiff meta prove otherwise.
