An upcoming change that will likely be added when I return:

Penal Battalion
Penal troops were too powerful when fully vetted in terms of their firepower due to their two 1.3 weapon accuracy modifiers that was furthered by their six man squad. The change is to make their combat bonuses not as powerful due to their previous increase in firepower.

EX: A grenadier squad even with full vet and LMG generally would lose to the fully vetted Penal Battalion while only inflicting 1-2 casualties, even if they were behind cover at long-range and Penals found equivalent cover. While Penals are supposed to be a strong AI unit, that is too powerful against another long-range squad that has been upgraded and fully vetted up.

-Veterancy 3 Weapon accuracy bonus from 1.3 to be 1.1.

IS-2
Lowering its rear to be more in line with other heavy tanks and to make it less armoured than the front of a typical Allied medium. This is mainly to help units like the Panzer IV and Puma.

-Rear armour from 160 to 140.

Other Things to Deal with

-Infantry Section Drop-Rate at Veterancy 3.
-Possible issue of Volks over-performing early-game with StGs. Needs more testing as usual.
-Testing of the possible return of the OKW shreck in some form. May not be needed, though with the stronger Raketen and Volk semi-super faust.
-OKW side-tech prices adjustment.

I don't think this needs to be changed.

People may find it tedious for units walking onto the battlefield, but I think it keeps it even as you won't have one faction getting units to the front much faster than another as a good portion of the factions can't place their structures in a new spot.

This would also cripple certain team games strat to an extent as you can't decide which spawn your units will come from. Your ally needs some support from a unit you have in production? Well, it has to go all the way from your base structure to reach them.

Furthermore the current system ensures units that have slower build-times aren't compensated by moving the building up. Doing this negates changes to like the MG42 and the Maxim which have slower build-times to prevent them from taking territory/buildings quickly. If they spawned in the base or at the edge, what was the point of the build-time change?

Also staying this makes things more strategic as you can keep your buildings safe versus not being safe, does it matter? Base-annihilation is so rare and uncommon that even if your structures are up forward for reinforcement in the base sector, they'll almost ever be sieged except in the worst case scenario due to their high health and the fact of how dangerous it is to keep units near a hostile base sector. This is not CnC or StarCraft where a base can be burned down incredibly quickly, generally house multiple structures for multiple ques and are often located in different areas of the map and near the fighting.

The majority of bases in CoH 2 aside from OKW trucks and Brit emplacement spam are in the very rear that serve as a staging area and will generally not see any action for the majority of the game so building placement doesn't matter for the most part aside from units reinforcing on the way out and ensuring it's not an utter mess. And no reason to gimp other factions as previously stated.

The more of these updates that come out the sadder I am. Heavies are supposed to be tough, and its part of what makes them fun, come on now stop nerfing them.

My opinion:

Heavies should be tough when they are properly facing their enemy and are engaged in a slug-fest. They should however, be vulnerable to mediums flanking around and getting rear shots as mediums are risking more by diving in and trying to circle around a heavy tank which leaves them open to snares and rear-line AT.

Why isn't it buffed? It's very obvious that it should be if panzerschrecks are gone.

I don't make decisions of what gets added/put for testing. I'm just a guy making a mod.

I'm pretty salty that the game balance feels like a community mod (because it is one) and not a professionally balanced game. It's like Riot games took over the balance.

WTF is this? Miragefla unable to ignite demand for his mod even by paying people in competitions, so he's talked his way into changing the whole game structure.

Why miragefla? I doubt 99% of CoH players have even heard of this guy. Hopefully this is the last time Relic does Community "Balance". It's one thing to take suggestions from community but to balance the game on some guy's mod is frankly retarded.

No need for insults. If you're going to be salty by changes you have never played with even when they have been active for months in the CE mod and refuse to provide that feedback in the upcoming balance mod when we do get to test more extreme changee and ideas, then how can we ever decide what's good or bad when we base it off our sole bias. It's why when I do play and stream the mod I ask for community feedback.
