That stat buff from the OKW Panther to the Ostheer Panther would be pretty nice and make it a far better mobile tank destroyer than what we have. 40% better accuracy and 30% better accuracy on the move, if I recall correctly from the previous thread? Yes, please. |
I'd rather buff its rate of fire and accuracy on the move then turn it to a range 40 tank. That tank is absolutely RNG when it takes hit from AT fire and other tanks while not having the HP pool of the Tiger. |
As Ostheer, why not just support the ATGs and infantry with cheaper Panzer IVs and StuGs? Both can blast infantry and deal with most mediums when supported. High penetration only really matters against certain tanks like the E8 and heavies, you even get TWP with StuGs to ensure enemies can't run. Also, far greater shock value. By the time the Panther gets there, there's going to be far more AT on the field and tanks to deal with.

Panzerwefer always did well, especially when they undid the reload nerf. I even got a vet 3 one today just by attacking infantry capping points. Just drive close up to 1/4th, 1/3rd of max range, fire and run.
It just comes from the expensive T4 tech which has units that generally aren't that attractive. |
The 42 for the Germans I think is bugged. It sounds like the 34 from the previous patch used by scout cars and the OKW team weapon, making it sound pretty weak. |

I still feel bad for units like the SU-76(costly,needs better AI so it's less pseudo Katyusha/SU-85 ), T-70(effective, but costly), Brumbar/Ostheer T4(Former isn't that great since its scatter changes, later too costly for general use), and now the Panzerwerfer as the Katyusha has been super-charged from mediocre to destroyer and is available earlier. |
And how does that tell anything? Units don't operate in a vacuum.
And you're not paying for a unit to slug it out with other tank. You're paying for a mobile, anti-armour sniper unit that also has the ability to repair on the fly. When I buy a StuG I'm not paying for a main battle tank, what is essentially just DPS and a possible snare unit. |
