Thread: Tiger Ace Explained14 Feb 2014, 17:00 PM In my opinion tiger and is2 costs should be flipped. That would more accuratly represent the overall "goodness" of the tanks relative to their costs. I'm not saying that the is2 isn't good ... I'm just saying it may not be "most expensive tank in the game good" which again in my opinion the tiger is. Out of curiosity what do y'all think are the top 3 or 4 best/ most cost effective tanks in the game? For me the tiger stands out well sbove the rest, but after that it gets harder to choose. Maybe tiger > kv2 > panther > is2/isu152/t70. (Im not sure about the kv2 i rarely face it and only got to play with it twice but it seemed to do quite well) Edit: please no one say tiger (or the new turbo) ace. I don't count them since they don't belong in this game and as such I refuse to acknowledge their existence In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Suggested change for call-in doctrinal units?13 Feb 2014, 16:38 PM I think m10s and hellcats felt "better" than su85s just because the movement AI was better. Properly driving an su85 especially in tighter maps is silly lol. In general I liked the vcoh dynamic much better than coh2. I think a lot of that had to so with no fuel cost Calkins. By making Calkins cost fuel they appear to be "standard" tanks that you would use instead of your regular tanks istead of with your main tanks. Also teaching seems to be too quick in coh2 for my liking. The game has lost some of its "epic" feeling which has been replaced by monotony :/ In: COH2 Gameplay

I think it should have equal cost to the is2 And neo I agree with you. I was having this discussion with a mate today and we came to the same conclusion. The TA owner is encouraged to Rambo it in and inflict as many losses as possible to keep the cost down whereas the soviets plan is probably going to be to disable it and keep it alive somewhere to drain the axis player ... Seems like a really really really dumb thing to implement. But then again nearly everything else that was leaked is also nonsensical (boardering on idiotic) so maybe its a fake leak to get us all fired up? crosses fingers In: COH2 Gameplay

I'm 95% sure that the mg(s) were not vetted (maybe vet one) but I'll double check tonight. like i said sometimes it just feels like something changed based on a few isolated experiances. Im sure someone I was facing yesterday felt that 120mm mortars got an accuracy buff based on one game where I'm pretty sure my mortar was being crewed by snipers. It was pinpoint hitting damn near every shot when normally it can't hit the broad side of a barn lol In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Tiger Ace Explained12 Feb 2014, 16:23 PM Tiger ace was and will sadly appear to remain the most op thing in the game. Even if the changes that are supposed to taken place go through it will still be a get out of jail free card because the initial fuel cost is 0. So even with 0 map control you can eventually call this monster in. It's not right. Im willing to bet if sovs had the option to call in a triple vetted is2 (even without stun shot) for 800 mp and 0 fuel they'd chomp at the bit for it because paying fuel after you have the tank by way of income reduction is a much more beneficial way to pay for it. Especially if youre losing. Sadly this patch appears to be mostly pro German throwing all semblance of balance right out the window. Oh well like I said before it'll make beating Germans more fun because once again it appears that the coh franchise caters to German players having it easy which breeds bad players In: COH2 Gameplay

In the games I played last night it reminded me a lot of the old op days where cons got insta surpressed on first volley and pinned by second (even in cover). I hope they didn't do this, but I wouldn't be surprised since this upcoming patch appears to be 95% pro German .... Which was clearly needed based on the SNF results le sigh It really makes me question if any of the beta testers actually play as soviets :/ In: COH2 Balance

Having it in line with regular tigers is perfectly fine (like I said before I havnt had a chance to play yet I'm just going based on what's here) so if thats what theu did then i retract my previous statements with regards to tiger ace nerf. I honestly thot that ROF mobility and accuracy were already the same as the basic tiger but it appears I was ignorant on the matter. My apologies. the immune to ram thing was posted by someone earlier. Hopefully that didn't actually make it in. Does it cut all resources or just muni and fuel? So maybe it means they build faster again. I'd rather play the challenging faction @avny i didnt see that im at work atm so i just have whats posted here ti go off of. If the time did increase to 30s thats good. But its still a minor setback based on how powerful it is. Imo it should be removed from the game entirely and maybe replaced with a passive that increases the vet bonuses for all units under that commander or something like that. The idea of purchasable vet is just plain stupid. @wooof you call that nerfing the single most op thing to ever set foot in this game? It got its hp reduced which is good and its dmg reduced which is also good. But theres no need whatsoever to then balance that out with a mobility, rof, and accuracy boost lolol. Thats not nerfing, thats just juggeling. Oh yea and just for fun let's make it immune to ram. I really hope this is all a bad joke. I guess ill find out soon. This just in soviet planes now come with a 50% chance of axis pilots causing them to perform way better while fireing on your own army. This should "balance" things some more. In: COH2 Gameplay
