Sov windustry doesn't seem to bad anymore) and shouldn't be tinkered with to much. But blitz... Really?? Never even crossed my mind and I play me some soviets. I tend to agree with you I post occasionally but try to stay away from blindley screaming nerf. I also think that in general the balance is pretty good right now (with the exception of tiger ace and opel blitz in anything larger than 1v1s) In: COH2 Balance
Thread: equalize cp requirements for all call in infantry7 Feb 2014, 18:42 PM Let's have all infantry callins (shocks, guards, assgrens, osttruppen, irregulars, partisans, etc ...) show up at 0 1 or 2 cps. Most of the units are cost/cd balanced already (meaning shocks are better then assgrens but also cost more, osttruppen are cheap and weak but easily spam able, etc ...) so having them show up at the same time shouldn't be an issue. This may provide a semblance of equality rather than just screaming to have every soviet callin changed to 53 cps We already managed to cry enough to get the kv8 and the is2 to come out at the same time (and approximately at the same time as the tiger) and if I'm not mistaken elefant guns and isu152s are the same as well right? Why not do it to infantry as well and call it good In: COH2 Balance

Soviet have sight/range and Germans have the ability to close the distance (which can be mitigated by a cheap at toss or 25 muni mine). Just cause 1 game somebody used blitz to beat you doesn't make it OP. Jesus... You got to wonder why no top tier players post these "nerf/buff" posts all the time. It's always guys with most likely average skills. If I posted for everytime I got beat by something I thought was OP I'd have.... A lot of topic starters. Figure out ways to beat it, use your head and some tactics! You think this is bad? Have you looked at the quantity of shocks/guards qq threads? Lol To clarify my position on this I don't think it needs to be nerfed, but I would very much like to see a drawback worked into it much like most soviet vet1 ability. Sight: up range at cost of mobility Capture: Capture territory but can't fire main gun In my opinion it would be nice to see blitz be in line with these not a far outlier. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: opel blitz7 Feb 2014, 18:18 PM Opels don't need "nerfed" they are fine the way they are for 1v1s. In team games all that needs to happen is to only give the resource bonus to the owning player. Its simple math really. In 1v1 500mp to Opel/cache a point give +x fuel and muni. In 4v4s its +4x for the exact same investment and 500 mp split 4 ways is a drop in the bucket just like 200 for the cache split 4 ways is nothing. I understand that caches work like this and thats fine. Both teams can do it so it is by default balanced from 1v1 all the way to 4v4. The opel however is not. Could you imagine the quantity of axis tears if the soviet industry fuel income buff was privded to all four soviet players yet the mp drain only impacted the person spec'd into soviet industry (in essence this is exactly how the Opel works now)? So whereas the sight boosts offensive power at the cost mobility blitz could provide a mobility boost while nerfing offense. Maybe double duration between shots on the main gun while the ablity is active? In: COH2 Balance

What was your response to the blitz thread? Was it "lol"? I think that applies here as well. Russian mines squad wipe at times but often do not we just remember the squadwipes more. But how would making the Opel blitz bonus only impact the owning players resource gain unbalance 1v1 in any way? This seems like an easy fix to help balance 4v4 withiut changing anything else. Its a really low hanging fruit in that it wouldn't even take much effort to changd and is 100% guaranteed to not mess with 1v1 at all. Its absurd that it gave a group bonus in the first place lol. Your defense against blitz is AT nade available on every Conscript squad. I don't see a valid reason for adding another defense mechanic to it not to forget that the whole you get from Blitz is mobility so in my opinion adding a heavy stun at the end is kind of contradicting the ability itself. Using Russian at nades to stop a blitzing kitty is like trying to put out a wildfire with a water balloon. If that is supposed to be the defense against vin diesel now would it be too much to ask to up the penetration on at nades so that the chance to disable anything larger than a half track is ~ equal to that of the faust? Personally id like to see a reduction in duration or top speed bonus on blitz as it really is a bit over the top how it is at the moment. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: sniper / guards rifle6 Feb 2014, 18:15 PM I fell in love with panzer tactitian and light vehicles and found that to be very useful against this. Upgun a scout car or pack a gren squad in a ht. Drive up to m3. Profit. Guards got you buttoned? No big deal. Pop smoke and poof your good to go. In: COH2 Balance

Which let me focus on face rolling with snipers. In a 1v1 I'd be very hard pressed to hold even part of the map with that. In: COH2 Gameplay
