Like I said I think they drew a little bit of inspiration from the Panzer-Lehr-Division which had Panzergrenadiers who wore fieldgrey Panzer Crew jackets, apparently also had Pz II Luchs' and also only fought on the western front. |

Westheer will definitely inspire Allies/Soviets-only players to take their whining to the next level and Relic will meet them blow or blow with the nerf hammer.
And whining by German players doesn't exist? |
Because as others have said, the Americans weren't like the Germans or the Soviets, they didn't rely on tanks and bigger tanks to fight other tanks, they relied on light tanks for scouting, medium tanks for infantry support, and tank destroyers for tank fighting.
Well technically he's not wrong. After WW2 the Pershing was reclassified as a Medium Tank.
As for my assumption (as to not disrespect Von Kluge), the Americans are going to rely on Tank Destroyers. They will function like the current Puma, light and fast, only they'll mount much more powerful weaponry. What they lack in health and armour, they'll make up for in speed and penetration, and possibly damage, like a Half-Track with a 76mm Tank Gun.
And hopefully no M10. People complain about the SU-85 being in CoH2, but at least the SU-85 was still effective at what it did when it was used. The M10 was obsolete by the time we entered the war, the M18 and M36 were the best TD's we had.
It gets worse, the M10's turret was hand-crancked, so imagine a tank destroyer that isn't particulary good at destroying the heavier German tanks that also can't even turn its turret fast enough. |
Penals should just get a new voice and get renamed to "Infantry Troops" and that would be all that is necessary.
By that logic, it would go:
Infantry Troops: Soldiers that have been in the Red Army since before the War with Germany. They are well trained and armed with SVT's, which were originally slated to become the new Service Rifle until Germany invaded and Mosin production was ramped up..
Conscript Troops: Soldiers recruited during and after Barbarossa in a time of desperation. These soldiers are lesser trained and skilled, and are armed with Mosin-Nagants due to the simplicity and low cost of the rifle, which was needed to equip many new soldiers.
But the Guards and Shock troops are already supposed to be the professional soldiers. |
The game is broken now, as it was last patch and the other one. And with Western front is gonna be more broken even. There's a balance issue to fix, of course, but the design of game keeps breaking any competitive play. I thought a lot of commanders would increase the strategy of game -how stupid i was- but the commanders have such broken habilities that is always the same shit with diferent models.
I remeber in coh1 with 3 commanders wich everyone had his strong and weak points and where made for every single situation. For instance, to kill a simple ARTY you needed to base rush and drop some kind of artillery or so. In this you can recon, bomb and kill. There are tons os über artillerys strafins tha tkill everything on random. Super late game units meant weak early trees habilities -wich does not happen here you can have heavies, infantry, arty on same commanders-. The non vinculated popcap to territory is absolutely dumb. You can have no map control but call in your heavies just to destroy anything -for what is harassing now?-.
At this point, nothing can be done cause commander are sold -p2win-. The only thing that can be done, but never will, is redesign the commanders as something about focus commanders habilities on early-mid-late game -non super commanders that work in every stage- and balance heavies to make useful non doctrinal tanks.
EDIT: I have to say that moreover i play this game, more i miss coh1. Coh2 was suposed to be an improvement of coh1 mechanics -for instance true sight- and new history immersion. But not, they changed the basic of coh1 -wich was tested, played build over years of community- to make some RTS Random arcade game. They changed what should not be changed, and they kept the things that should be improved. Epic fail. You guys can say what you want, but every mid-skilled player in coh1 who plays coh2 will admit that this game is far away from the old day strategies and maneuverings of coh1.
The game is far from broken, there are a few balance issues and mines being too good, but nothing I would call broken. The last patch where the Soviet's basic infantry was underperforming is what I would call broken. |
They look like some of the M4A2 models with the flat sides...
Actually those are M4A3(75)W shermans. |

The Jagdpanther had the same gun like the elephant - the extra Long Pak 43 and the Jagdpanther had also more armour then the SU-85.And it was based on the more modern panther chassis.
I'm not sure if that would defeat multiple SU-85's at once. |

Jagdpanther(from vCOH) could do circles around su85, stop, and line up in rear before su could even get a quarter turn. Jagdpanther would obviously be on par with su as far as range as well. Honestly, if elephant is a problem, then just wait for jagdtiger. 120mm is going to be like 2x isu shot lol. if isu shoots tactical nukes, jagdtiger will launch ballistic missile nukes that destroy the entire screen.i guess they could go with the 88 version, has anyone seen it in any trailers to confirm which model?
But the ISU had a larger caliber gun than the Jagdtiger. It'll be more like an IS-2 shot. |
Oh yeah I probably don't want to meet this one if i would be a taliban xD
Unfortunately the Bundeswehr Leopards weren't deployed to afghanistan -.-
Tanks can't really be deployed properly in mountainous terrain. |
Grens always didn't have the riflenade until T1 though....? |
