AT guns should not be moving while cloaked anyway. The raketenwerfer should have that toggle removed. Both the raketen and the doctrinal zis should have passive cloak when in cover. No stupid button, no sneaking across open ground with a giant gun anyone with 20/20 vision could easily see.
As for the actual topic, the debuff needs to be changed or applied evenly among all factions for appropriate units.
Edit: Also, the cloaked units should have a sight debuff of like 40%. If you're hiding, you usually can't see as well as you can when not hiding. |
The poor moving accuracy is intended. All armor has pretty shit moving accuracy. You might think some of the medium armor has good moving accuracy, especially allied units, but the difference is in the target size. A sherman has a much better chance of hitting a panther simply because the panther has a larger size and takes up more space. I'm not sure if there is an allied equivalent of the panther, so you can't really do an apples to apples comparison (Comet maybe?). You can look on the stats page and get the numerical size of each entity in the game, those sizes play a big role in accuracy, especially vehicles which rely on their scatter value to hit the target based on the distance. Which is another point, the panther is firing from long rage, so greater chance to miss from that.
I don't think it's moving accuracy needs to be changed at all. However, I have been super frustrated with it's crap accuracy while stationary. Not that it should nail every shot at max range, but sometimes I just can't hit anything at all, like the Jackson.
The pintle gun does a pretty good job of anti-infantry. I mean combined with the awesome front armor, you can take out AT troops even. Can't really say the same with allies. Now it's not going to mow down a blob, but I wouldn't say it's bad anti-infantry. A panther without the pintle mg is bad anti-infantry. |
Oh, it was one of those buggy rifle grenades that takes forever to shoot. One time I shot one at a panther and the player noticed a bit too late, but still reversed. No joke, the panther went halfway across the map in reverse and that grenade followed it all the way back to disable engine! I play on larger maps in team games, so it was a huge distance.
This guy used that puma really poorly though. I really don't understand sending it after infantry and getting so close. It's supposed to kite things, not get up in their face. He also kept it moving, which screws up it's accuracy. Might as well be shooting blanks, well I guess not since his missed shot was sent to his own troops. It is strange that it took them out though, friendly fire is pretty forgiving in this game with most things. In CoH1 it was not so forgiving. |
4res didn't really play all that well. He was overly aggressive in almost every engagement. To me it didn't really look like a rng owned him. However, I didn't understand what happened to destroy the luchs. It seemed like it hit a mine backing up, but I don't think you had access to any mines with your build order, so something else finished it off. RNG worked more for OKW than USF here. There were several times he sent his men walking past USF troops that were in cover, yet only lost maybe 1 guy out of a squad, never wiped. Very little use of cover by OKW. Super aggressive with the puma, against infantry (it's not good vs infantry so I don't get it). The panther was the worst. He sends it right into a USF killzone and 3 wolverine shots bounce off. How is the rng working against this person? |
I know something was done about this earlier. previously they used to go off with the blast of a sturm tiger if they landed on your men. Still the game is sending a lot of planes on collision courses with ground troops. I mean like directly into them. I had at least 2 instances in this game. I think there was more and I'm just 1 of the 8 players. I was repairing a jackson with the crew, fucking nose of a stukka goes right into the top of the head of the tank crew! My vet3 mortar that I had kept alive for the whole game, killed by a fucking plane crash! I know this game is calculating collision courses with players. The games programming likes to do it. It's pretty damned predictible sometimes where shot will land. Typically if a shot rolls as a miss, the code will want to send the stray shot into something that will break, as opposed to just sending it into the ground. This is getting really stupid sometimes. |
You are right, but it's not always like that. At low levels there are a lot of dumb players. At high levels or large streaks you will get handicap matches. Around level 8-10 you will get pretty fair and fun matches. |
You were hostile to me first, so don't pretend to be the victim here. You needed to go off topic and attack me without having enough information to properly engage.
I'll reiterate this again, because a few of you don't seem to understand what this topic is about. It's not about someone that cannot make friends and so must play with random people. It's about programming. The programming that controls the decisions that automatch makes to match people in team games. To be honest, it technically would apply it's backwards logic to AT as well, the only difference being that you can control who your teamate is, so at least you know where you stand there.
For the personal attacks, I have been playing CoH for over 10 years. Sometimes I have played with friends and sometimes they are all offline or in another game and I play random. So, you can qualify that as having experienced true multiplayer. Yes I have had good games. Do not think of every statement in absolute terms. I have gotten together with random people that I got matched with that I respected their game. This thread is not about the fair matchups, it's about the unfair matchups that occur when you get to higher ranks/levels/streaks. Works fine for 1v1 because it's your own skill you rely on. It's broken af in team games (especially with random).
This thread is about programming logic. It is not about how to win more. |
That reminds me, is that decap intended? It's extremely unusual. |
AT is preferable. There is no denying that. This topic is not about choosing between random and at. It is simply about the poor logic for the matcher which should be improved. I play with friends whenever I can, but it's not always possible. I think wanting to play with people after a match would happen more with better matching. Sometimes there might be a good teammate to contact, but when the system is trying to bring you down, you aren't going to want to contact the people it matches you with. |
Welcome to the wonderful 4v4 world!
The helmet in the corner is to protect the world from your retardation, wear it at all times.
Blaming your team mates when losing is always mandatory. Drooling is not required, and is optional at best.
I kid, i Kid.
Wish more people in this community were like you mate; try out true multiplayer before comment.
Can you elaborate on what true multiplayer is? Sounds like your just trolling to steer this off topic. |
