The only thing I compare the scott with is the brumbar. Scott has a higher range, but the brumbar can be used in tank fights, has more health, and more armor. Plus, you can get the pintle gunner. Sometimes I feel like some of the players on here just want defenseless opponents. That's what I think when reading someone calling for nerfs on what is generally accepted as the weakest faction in the game. |
You are simply wrong on that, Sturmpioneers plant their mines at exactly the speed Pioneers plant a single S-Mine field.
On top of that, you are wrong about S-Minen as well, they do 40 damage each and (unlike all mines except Soviet tripflares) are capped at killing one model maximum. Four S-Minen thus have a damage potential of 160, which is just enough to kill two models. They also have less penetration than all other mines, allowing even a Universal Carrier to drive over them without taking any damage, and they come with fucking signs around them.
Ergo: If you lose a squad to S-Minen, you are either among the most stupid players of this game, or you didn't keep an eye on your backyard (to prevent a player laying mines in your retreat path) and didn't use healing, which means you are among the worst players of this game. Take your pick…
Incomplete mine fields can be instantly deployed, so keeping an eye on your backyard really doesn't matter. Those mines can be laid under fire, creating a significant delay to disarm them. |

The m20 is really good at stopping luchs. You just lay a mine in the right part, discreetly. If you get spotted, then might as well cancel. I actually use infantry company in 4s. I've heard people get upset at me for doing so, yet I end up with the better stats at the end, or at least respectable stats. The preist is really good at hammering slow heavy armor, especially if there was a way to make heavy armor stop completely and take all 6 shells. |
When you combine this morale idea with massive soviet casualties, sounds like it would really nerf soviets over anyone else in the game. |
Yeah its pretty slow. Could do with faster mine laying once they reach vet though.
