Someone made an excellent point about doctrine tanks.
I feel like both Soviets and Wehr (and Americans with the easy 8) tend to favour using doctrine tanks and not bother with the necessary tech structures. IMO they should require the tech structures for these call ins to be used.
I liked it better when doctrine units replaced existing units and had to be produced...
You know about it but... is it planned to fix/rework that result from design choices?
There's no easy way to fix it, short of significantly changing how American vehicle crewing works.
And if your opponent has enough units on the field to break popcap... you should kill more of their stuff. Infantry can't reinforce when over popcap either.
It's not really meant to face down any sort of AT.
Blop it behind some hedges or a building and just use the reinforcement. It's absurdly powerful for Americans to reinforce in the field. (Although they can if medic truck is out of combat and in their own territory.)
The option to use it as a flamecar is tempting, but it's much better to keep it for the long term.
The thing is you shouldn't skip t3, but you still should transition to t4 eventually. Ostheer t3 is great, but it peaks in effectiveness. You're better off building 1-2 t3 units and then teching than you are building 3-4. A panther is worth its weight in stugs or pziv's when it comes to tank combat.
The Brummbarr shouldn't be underestimated either. If you already have a Pak and a t3 tank, this can be a great way to end a game by getting some key squad wipes or pushing his base.
