Soviet mark target and the Command panther equivalent are pretty BS. One click abilities with no counterplay that let you melt enemy tanks. They need to change it to a cheaper accuracy buff ability, with readjusted costs; the damage buff is too powerful when combined with other AT sources.
I don't think the Command Panther is OP, but the concept of mark target needs rework along with the Command Panther now that it can't crutch on it.
Soviet - + 25% damage ,sighting aircraft can shoot down
OKW - + 50% damage, no opportunities to drop the ability - this is truth BS
overwhelming armor commander - looks very cool for me:
Elite T-34-85 plus fire and maneuver ability - an interesting combination for King Tiger / jagdtiger rolling.
You want Tiger Ace 2.0 and Windustry in the game again? This is how you'll get it.
I want:
- shock troops
- Guards T-34-85 - with a mesh screen (higher HP), piercing projectiles, smoke bombs (works like Churchill, but without speed reducing)
or SU-100, a mix of Su-85 and the Elephant. SU-85 with a higher armor and HP,gun range and damage - as the Elephant
- Repair station
The problems with Shocks is that:
- They are the most expensive squad in the game (Obers get a reinforcement cost discount)
- They need to hug an opponent in order to deal any damage. This makes them unable to use cover
- The enemy can clear the kill zone of Shocks by hitting retreat, and they're scot-free in a few milliseconds. Meanwhile Shocks may have bled hard to get there
- They have, literally, the worst grenade ability in the entire game
- They receive far worse veterancy bonuses than most other squads in the game (excluding Commandos). Given that they have so much difficulty closing-in, that's a death sentence
Speaking of death sentence, Shocks have absolutely no role in a world that is dominated by:
- cheap light vehicles
- STGs + insta-throw flame nade
- Bundle-nade PGrens
With respect to armour vs RA, of course RA is more important than armour. RA can help you dodge all sorts of things:
- When retreating vs a sniper
- Dodging those 3-5% accuracy hits from tanks (it's tiny, but it helps)
- Accumulating less suppression
- Receiving lower damage from higher-than-average pentrating sources (e.g., most like vehicle LMGs, etc)
The reason why Paratroopers work is because:
- They have way less reinforcement cost
- Thompsons have amazing range curve (not quite like STGs, but they're good)
- Paras have an extra hit-to-deal-more damage ability. Thus, when a flank does occur, it's deadly
PS: Next time you play with a USF ally, try picking up a BAR with your Shocks. They become deathgods, then.
maybe you talk to the Relic and they allowed a little fix to Shock Troops?
American soldiers shoot and killed my grandpas best friend when they approached on of their outpost with white flags, just out of spite. Calling the dropping of not one but two nukes on civilian a "military necessity" is a very cheap excuse and you should be deeply ashamed as a human being to use that argument (to me you are utterly despicable). If you do so go and reevaluate your life choices, you clearly need a lessen in human decency.
Germany did commit atrocious war crimes but you must have your head buried very deep where the sun dont shine if you think that justifies allied war crimes. On the human misery scale all factions were pretty close.
Relic gave these units ominous names so they avoid the controversy that comes with it and we should not go around and make vague connections to try to stir up unneeded discussions. If they wanted to portray the actual Brandenburg division they would have named them that.
EF mod has brandenburg 800 in the early period (dressed in Soviet uniforms).
Wait so, the late war German Army receives the early war version of the unit while the early war German Army receives the late war version of the unit, I'm a bit confused here.
But yeah, they're using the same model basically with different skins, so there was SOME obvious relation.
I think it is convention. We have Ostwind in T3, but they total produced: 43-45. And T-34-85 in the doctrine which produced more than 20,000 from 1944 to 1945
