I wonder WHY would that be the case. Why didn't Refero or Hans brought them to the finals were serious games were at stake (the only 2 players who decided to use them at all during the qualies).

In fact, why not check what all the finalist were playing during it and before ? Or even better, add USF into the mix and compare it to GCS 1.

When you have people who "mained" certain factions dropped them completely, that's a big red flag. Say, Devm's with USF and HH with UKF.

It's also "funny" to compare the ratio of factions picks during the qualies between the overall stats and the ones who made it into the finals.

Allied faction picked was basically at a rate of 4/7 SU, 2/7 USF and 1/7 UKF. On the other hand, finalist had a 80% SU pick (84 over 105 games). Honorable mention to HH who brought both USF n UKF into the mix, because if that wouldn't be the case, both USF/UKF turnover would had been a joke. Refero picked only 3 times UKF (lost in all) over 13 games, Luvnest used it once (and lost) over 14 games. He did use USF once. Same with Von and Jesulin (1/18 and 1/12 respectively).

Going back to topic. Just take a look at what Nosliw/SturmP/Stark said. Addressing the PUMA is basically going to fix the issue. It could be less of a retreat wiper but i'm not sure there's an easy way of reducing that in comparison to small arm fire. You can't just cut down DPS in the same way.

Imagine OKW beta. That gives you a good impression of what they were. Basically they had an "original" design which was busted balanced wise, and then they had to release a faction with little testing done on them after a rework.
With the same philosophy of removing tools from a faction but overpowering other aspects of it.

Imagine old pArty Cover. Now ALL abilities are basically like it, but instead they all share a global long cd.

UKF as a whole is practically receiving a huge rework by a simple change. If the snare goes live, our general perception of several unit might change.

With that been said, i wouldn't touch any of the mostly early-mid game unit at all. AEC/AT gun for example, will benefit greatly from having a snare.

If any other change is needed for early-mid after that:

IS: only cut down initial mp cost by 10/20mp which would give them a slight better map presence.
Indirect fire: i don't think we will see a mobile mortar, non doctrinaly, so i guess we will have to double down with base howitzers. Snipers could had their flare range extended and/or cost reduced.
Bofor: fix the AA bug
Comet: buff a bit scatter. Call it a day.


I'm eerie to say what thing really needs to be changed in order to make UKF viable again. IF only we had comment from any top 10 for a better insight.

IIRC there are several OKW squads which can get to over 100% acc with vet. Ober and PF through vet and if i read correctly the file, the G43 sniper model from JLI.

Which in fact is not ideal, because if you make use of commander abilities, the return is lesser if the opposing unit has no RA modifiers to oppose it.

At this point people should clarify mostly if they are talking about 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3+ cause i'm not seeing the Churchills (or UKF) rolling over been the meta.
