my fingers hurt, can't say good luck high five, but since this is about the eastern front, let's greet our opponents with "death to all my enemies" or "if i lose i'm going to be executed" or better yet "die you communist bastards"
I like to add a "prepare to die" after my hi hf sometimes to add flavor. |
That's fascism man!! |
Hate to break it to you all, but it's the INTERNET and a VIDEO GAME, in other words just remember it's only pixels on a screen!
I swear some of you must spend a majority of your time behind the computer.
I personally LOVE when someone rages at me in game especially when I'm winning, it means I'm obviously doing something right. I also couldn't give a rats ass if someone talks to me or not in game, just play the friggin game!
It's not about how much time some people spend behind a computer, it's about treating other people like human beings.
You might not care about other people, but there are people who have killed themselves over insults they received on the internet. Fez II was cancelled because people were giving him so much shit. Go ahead and say "they should get over it" but I don't think it's that hard to just treat people better. |
Man, I am not disagreeing with you at all. But do you go out? People are becoming self-centered rude pigs with no social etiquette period.
I daily see people holding line while buying/ordering from shops because they are to busy talking/messaging/playing video games on their mobile phone.
Please, hi, thank you, giving way, or general consideration of other people is disappearing.
What hope is there for social etiquette on internet and in-games..
Entire world is becoming self-centered, inconsiderate bunch of YOLO and IDC sufferers of digital dementia and retardation...
Yup and that's why for me it is important to NOT be that way in every encounter I have, whether it is with my opponent in CoH or a stranger in the grocery store. |
It's four extra key presses at the beginning of the game and another four at the end, and it makes it so you're playing vs a real person and not an anonymous enemy. It's not like it makes any difference in my day whether you guys do it or not, but I'm always going to advocate treating people like they're human beings. |
Some players in the COH community need to grow up and learn to show some respect, friend or foe. This is coming not just from a regular player but someone that have personal help to build (which took years) big teams in games such as EVE online since closed beta.
If you want to build a strong community or teams in general you just cant tolerate a bunch of spoiled kids/adults muddying the water which scare mature players away from COH. I love COH2 as a game but getting fed up with the lack of respect from other players.
At some point apathy just kick in and you stop caring. A bad attitude is contagious. I just dont understand why any people in their right mind can tolerate players with a bad attitude or abusive behaviour. Some players are just borderline to sociopathic behavior in that they seem to enjoy hurting and insulting other players for no good reasons.
Finally attitude reflect leadership. So if you are streaming games or clan leader etc. make sure to lead by example.
A clip from "Remember the Titans."
Teammates Gerry and Julius have a heart-to-heart discussion.

Fuck yes. Well said. I hope you stick around and lead by example. |
I actually don't think the winning player should ever gg except in response to a gg from their losing opponent (I ignore this rule when I play a few certain players because they have done things to lose my respect).
Too many people also ignore "hi hf", or only gg when they win but just leave silently when you beat them. They get away with being as rude as they want with the anonymity of the internet protecting them, but it proves they are still a long way from being adults.. and no I'm not taking this too seriously, in game chat reflects a person's character
You all who I'm talking to know I'm talking to you. |
Disagree with sageofthesix, you are not obligated to get 4 T1 units. You could just as easily get 3 or 5 and then go T2. |
Watching this now, will make notes as I go:
Your cap order is a bit questionable. Thanks to the combat you don't get your high fuel connected for ever. I reckon it's a better choice to have your Pio and your first gren both go towards whatever side of the map you want to control; you can send your 2nd T1 unit to the north to cap that strat point and harass the fuel.
Losing the PG at 16 minutes is really unnecessary - if there's a bunch of conscripts around and you aren't going to attack with your other units, there's no point in throwing a grenade at the AT gun. It would be good to have it cleared... if you were attacking with your PIVs.
AT 20 minutes you start building 2 grens quads... I'd have liked to have seen a mortar (to counter the at guns) a sniper (to counter the shocktroops) or more pios (to repair your PIVs) isntead.
Most importantly though: if you want good tips on improving your game, post games that you lost. |
A patch right before the tourney starts would be awesome because I love seeing people make excuses, and watching people create strategies as a tournament progresses is fascinating/shows who really understands the game.
I bet holyhammer is out first, people are discussing his raging now and he seems like the type who'll let it mess with his mental game. Then again Barton has dropped some games to average players recently so he's not a bad bet for another early upset.
I got a bit bored of the vCoH meta by the end, and missed being excited for SNF. Looking forward to listening to Ami hoot and holler like a pro sports caster. |
