Thread: A genuine thank you to relic and the developers27 Sep 2013, 21:40 PM Love COH2 more than SC2 and EVE. Before COH2 I watched alot of SC2 tournaments and streams. Played EVE since beta until I left to play SC2. As Helpinghans also said on his stream, COH2 has the potential to compete with SC2 within a couple of years maybe. To attract more players from SC2, make a free multiplayer version of COH2 after a year with proper support for competitive play and tournaments. Relic could still make money from DLC and the new players from the free multiplayer version might buy new expansions, singleplayer content, Theatre of War etc.. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: P2W whine thread. 26 Sep 2013, 18:08 PM It's not pay for win but pay for diversity. It's a fair price for new units so stop crying. Using commanders to add new units and features are pretty innovative and much more flexible than just buying a big expansion like SC:Heart of the swarm. HOTS only had a couple of new units for each race. If you only play multiplayer with one race its alot of money for just a few new units. Compare this to COH2 and the new units are pretty cheap and relic are not forcing anyone to pay for Case blue + ALL new multiplayer units like HOTS. Without these new commanders we would have to wait over a year for new units with one big expansion. With new commanders we might see some new units and/or features every 6 months or so. It's pay for diversity since players can only use 3 commanders in a game. Yes, if we could use all commanders simultaneously that would be unfair. In: Lobby

Currently I need the grenadier 4% damage bulletin (need to kill 3 more heavy tanks). I'll tweak my grenadiers to get panzerschrecks from pgs drops so I can kill tanks quickly. You can play either soviet or german, mirror match will work to. Setup will be custom game with high ressources and total annihilation. In: Lobby

Since last patch I have lost many times to this strat with cons spam and htd into T2-T3. But with defensive Stugs, MG bunker, mortar and Gren lmg im able to defend until I can get my Tiger out. Thread: STUG III, worth it? Situational?21 Sep 2013, 02:09 AM With Stug bulletin 8% increased armor penetration, approx. 6% higher chance to penetrate SU85 frontal armor. Combine this with officer Inspire (accuracy:1.15, reload:0.85) + Stug vet1 ability and they can stand up to SU85. It's not a counter like pak43/elephant but at least Stug have a fighting chance against SU85 with that combination. As mention by the balance designer Peter during the last tournament, lategame stugs should work well with the tiger vs soviet T3 and heavy tanks (KV8/IS2). The balance problem is that SU85 currently have both superior range and speed vs the tiger so that combination are only good vs T3. The tiger need either a speed or range buff vs SU85. With range buff tiger should get a speed nerf so they dont become OP vs T3 which need mobility + mark target as counter vs the Tiger. Once the tiger get a buff vs SU85 I think we gonna see more players build 2 Stugs + tiger + officer lategame or Stug + P4 + officer + pak40 midgame. In: Ostheer Strategies
Thread: STUG III, worth it? Situational?17 Sep 2013, 20:20 PM Stug should have same range as the SU85 and then nerf stug speed to same as the SU85. But yes Stug are worth it if you can damage the engine on soviet tanks and get close enough to fire the first shot on SU85 (especially with vet1 stun ability). That way they cant move back from a fight and cant flank. But you can still move back your stug to save it. Gren spam usual force your opponent to build at least one Katyusha. So you could have 2-3 Stugs out before a second SU85. Same thing with the tiger, damage the SU85 engine first or not worth it.. P4s are kinda all-in against a supported SU85 with Cons AT grenade. Even if you kill one SU85 a second SU85 will usual kill your remaining P4s with engine damage. Against two or more SUs are very risky and require pro micro. In: Ostheer Strategies
