Thread: Action Items: Balance Feedback Required!12 Aug 2014, 10:28 AM Maxim spam is not an response to OKW. Maxim spam is an easy way to secure victory for a Soviet player and it works well almost everywhere besides high top players. HMG were supposed to be crowd control weapons but Maxim is a crowd control weapon that can serve as main infantry unit. Excuse that SU got nothing except Maxims is not enough to justify its performance provided it was actually the truth. The same goes for the delusional idea that Cons will have to be buffed if Maxims were to be adjusted. Sorry, but no. Cons aren't supposed to scale into late game due to the fact that you have doctrinal infantry and tanks that are supposed to help Soviet player in AI department. I don't understand why so many SU players don't get this and don't understand how their favorite army works. Guards and Shocks are more than capable to deal with everything OH or OKW player can throw at you. Sturmpioneeres, LMG Grens, Panzergrens - you name it. The only problem are Obersoldaten but you're not supposed to fight them 1 on 1. Either bring more units into a fight or a tank. Obers are usually 2 shooted by anything that got decent AI. My first probably 12-13 games I had a huge winning streak with only a couple of losses, but around rank 250 I hit a brick wall and my opponents are regularly defeating me. Play more games, especially team games, and the odds of finding opponents where you will be stomped into the ground increase exponentially. I'm not saying your opponents were noobs, but not everyone is good at fending off aggressive early USA play, and sometimes you just get lucky, or catch a good player on an off day. It's also possible that they weren't noobs, but you were just better! Certainly there is a lot of room for explanation beyond "USA is easy mode, scrubs!" I only loose a team game when my random team mate doesn't know what to do. I had very few team games that were actually balanced "skill" wise. Usually is one team stomping another. I guess what I am trying to say is I've lost more games due to luck of cooperation than to balance issues. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Suggestion: Attach Call-ins to Buildings/Tier again.11 Aug 2014, 10:01 AM So I played some 2v2 games recently and I think call ins got out of control. Benefits you get are tremendous and there is really no reason at all to tech and build T3/T4 for any of the factions we have currently in game with maybe OKW being an exception. As Wermaht me and my team mate were able to field 6 Tigers in a single game. T1, T2 - holding of with PaKs until 11 cp and voila. I had fuel for almost 2 of these when I reached 11 CP, why would you go regular units if you can get Tigers? Another game as US I had fuel for 2 and a half E8 by the time I reached 9 CP. With Soviets waiting for double T-34-85 or IS2 or ISU-152 is no brainier as well. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Whats about allies that need nurfing soo bad?11 Aug 2014, 09:52 AM So I finally had some games as US and og boy how easy to play they are I struggled a bit at first due to pretty good MG42 play from the Wermaht player but everything changed when I managed to pick up some Bars. I just walked into MG positions taking them out one after another without even trying and in the open. Ambulance allowed me to not only reinforce my men but heal them as well at the same time, the only "downside" I had to "click" the ability each time. Crazy micro. I picked some zookas for AT support and was waiting for E8. By the time I got 9 CP I had fuel for 2 of these and some amount saved for the 3rd one. I guess I'll be playing US for a while now. I didn't even try these AA truck everyone is talking about. In: COH2 Balance

Even Relic stated they are and they're looking into it hence we got this famous topic. I don't think anyone should argue this as obviously as the developer they have correct tools to measure it. Maybe back in the day when they weren't performing in such a way it was fine for them to have this kind of durability but that's not the case anymore so in one way or another this should be taken care of.
