Panther sat there like a sitting duck, between the command for the AVRE to shoot, aim, and fire, it takes about 5 seconds. AVRE SUCKS against moving targets, don't be an idiot and sit your tanks in front of the AVRE and expect them to not get screwed over. L2P issue guys, it's not hard to figure this one out.

I honestly don't think the AVRE is that bad, and it doesn't have as much health as OP was talking about. People are overreacting a bit to this. The AVRE operates just like the sturmtiger. Same AOE, same dmg, however AVRE has a rotating turret but a bit shorter range and automatic reload, I would just say make the reload longer or decrease the AOE, not nerf it into oblivion.
Oh that's is interesting because I see the same people that were defending SturmTiger now saying AVRE is OP. Hmm that's rather ironic.
I don't say BTW that ST or AVRE are fine. Quite the opposite. I just wanted to point out double standards and bias when comes to balance. |

So it's only useful when massed, and you want to nerf people using it massed. Sounds like you just don't want to deal with the barrage, even though it's probably the worst barrage weapon in the game at this time.
No, it becomes exceptionally useful when massed hence my proposal for small munition cost. It won't affect SU-76 performance, it will bearly affect your economy but you won't be able to just roll bunch of them around barraging everything left and right for free every minute or so (don't remember exact cooldown). SU-76 is cheap enough so you're able to produce it in great numbers and to be honest it only got its barrage ability due to its poor performance to begin with.
Now since it's actually decent some adjustment its due. |
Single SU-76 barrage is not a problem, but when you have few tank destroyers at your disposal and you use it all at once then that's a different story hence proposed small munition cost. |

I don't think theres a single person that plays at a reasonably good level that is dishonest enough to claim that the M5 isn't severely overperforming. When the thing can kill Ost T2 vehicles at max range in two bursts, wins every 1v1 vs the Flak HT, runs down squads better than any other unit, suppresses at max range, is extremely mobile, is AA, reinforces, and comes out at 7 minutes, 8 or 9 conservatively, while costing 270 manpower, 30 fuel, and 120 munitions... I don't even need to go on anymore.
Yes, you can counter it, its not unbeatable. It still requires an extremely disproportionate response to its presence.
Glad to hear its being looked at. The weapon crit change is a good start.
I think it's safe to say that we can just ignore the opinion of people that thinks Quad M5 is OK. as deeply biased.
