Please have a look at the replay. He is using the fire rate bulletins. Which everyone already knows affect suppression. I do not see any issue in the replay, apart from the usual green cover being fairly unreliable at anti-suppression. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Mg42 constantly humiliated16 Dec 2014, 08:22 AM If MG42 had the 1 second shorter setup time of the MG34 it would be the best HMG in the game. But it doesn't. So it kinda ends up iffy with how many tools allied basic infantry tends to have against slowly repositioning MGs. It's still a good unit even with the current setup, but ironically tends to be at its weakest when facing large numbers of allied basic inf, as opposed to being a sort of counter play to mass infantry like many people expect. Non-fuel artillery (largely meaningless in 1vs1 outside of Semois, on which I'd say Ostheer is actually a superior choice to OKW) Munition based artillery (useful against B4...and that's about it) Vehicle snares (largely meaningless when you don't get the ubiquitous shrekblobs of OKW) Long term vehicle production (no fuel penalty but huge tech costs compared to OKW) Things OKW does better: Everything else Ostheer has a rather weak earlygame especially against USF. MG34 is OP as fuck. OKW tends to have a huge manpower surplus at times which can easily be put into an Pak43, skipping the need to invest anything into raketens. Smines are great against certain strats. And that's really all you need, bunkers and zeroing have no real reason to exist for OKW. In: $1000 1v1 Tourney
