Please take some time to donate your opinion to the poll's cause. Lets see what you guys think. If a patch is soon lets see how close the community's expectations are to the real deal. Because. Why not? Replies for your arguments are welcomed. In: COH2 Balance |

The mortar needs to have less people, or die when there is only one guy left. It's seriously too hard to kill that thing. In: COH2 Balance |

This map looks really fun! Good Job! Here are some things I would like for you to implement before I play this with my friends: - 1) add negative(red) cover along the main roads near middle vp, and maybe in some other areas on the top and bottom side. - 2) make the fuel and munition points for the bot swapped so the map is more symmetrical - 3) Fix the map (the black edges around a what im guessing is the real map): - 4) Make the middle vp be a connecting territory.. It would be super sick... (this allows the player to have more options for taking the map through the middle. For example: -5 put hedges to divide the map in half and add truesight tactics / choke point tactics. I think a good place for that would be below the vp between the two strat points where there are wrecked vehicles. (I would replace the vehicles with it) If you do decide to implement some of these things post a reply here, and PLEASE PM ME ON STEAM!! Would love to play this map, and stream it! Hi! This is what I did when I first started out and it greatly helped my game out. I would recommend you do these two things a couple times: 1) Custom game against AI. - In this you wont actually be playing against the AI you will be practicing getting your timings for buying units down - Attempt to use control groups to capture - exit the game when it reaches 5-6 mins (or when you get to t2 **generally you should have about 4-5 tier 1 units (grens and stuff) by that time. I would do this until you can execute a opening build. 2) Download replays with good players to watch what they build, their bulletins, and what commanders they use. Contemplate why they would get it, and DECIDE if that is what you would do too --- as well as if that is what you'd be comfortable with using. - Open tactical map up to watch where he sends his first units. - To save time watch at 2x speed - While watching these figure out the similarities between sovs and germans, and the stark differences. Capitalize on the similarities to improve your gameplay for germans. Hope that helps C: |
Thread: Does anyone know how to play soviets in this new patch? 15 Apr 2014, 04:19 AM
I find the early game to be a lot more difficult, but if you hold out you can usually come out on top with sovs late game. I got a ton of replays I could post.. But.. My advice is to look for something you are comfortable with. If what you're doing isn't working, you should probably change 1 thing at a time (per new game). Keep most of what you normally use in there. If you take someone else's strategy you aren't going to execute it with the same tactics they would have done. You could spend many games learning to do similar tactics; but, I think it's more enjoyable to come up with your own gaming style. That being said, trying out a completely new build is always useful. |
