All of the above strats carry its own risk too, I feel that Wehr sniper synergies much better with the gren + MG combo than other factions, Brit sniper I feels arrive way too late, not enough screening due to IS not being mobile enough and 222 slaughter em, M20 costs an arm and a leg to get it, cons spam gets rekted by G43, that is my experience since the new patches.
For OKW when I use sniper the other guy just use Fusillier and plow through my cons line.

COH2 uses whatever windows has listed for resolutions and refresh rates. Windows will talk to your monitor and decide what it is capable of.
Due to limitations of your card, cable, and monitor you may not be able to get 75 Hz. So if you run the game in a different resolution than Windows you may not get the same refresh rate.
For example: Windows you run 1920x1080 @ 75 Hz but you switch to 3840x20160 and your refresh may drop to 30 Hz because that is all you are capable of.
However COH2 can try to force a refresh with the -refresh 75 command in your steam startup. It may or may not work. I used it to force a TV to run 60 Hz instead of 24 Hz.

Ok I'll try the command, 75Hz is the default rate for my monitor and window so that's weird with COH2, Ashes of the Singularity runs much smoother than this POS.

Honestly you lost all credibility here with "T70 rarely hits vet 3".
Soviet Sniper teams face off against small squad, high exp value Axis infantry. Wehr sniper gains crap ton of exp against Brits, but gains tiny amount vs conscript models. It's important to consider what the unit faces against when considering its value. It's definitely true the Wehr sniper has superior stats, but the argument you've completely failed to address is that 2man squads are far too advantageous when it comes to Sniper vs Sniper play.
Soviet sniper I feels is only good against Wehr, OKW can just rush in with volks + Kubel and laugh at the pathetic DPS from your units whereas Wehr sniper is always useful against all 3 Allied factions.

I would build USF M20 it if:
1) Cost less MP
2) M20 got skirts by default
3) Would have 5 popcap instead of 8
Here, I don't have anything against M20 it just that those guys are way too MP-heavy for me, I would prefer increased fuel cost for less MP, high MP low fuel unit with zero late-game scaling means you must always yolo this guy around and maybe get a wipe or 2 to return the investment because your capping power is shit later. |

this is not a l2p isue, this is a problem. most humans can't react that fast including me, and just leave the squad where it is, hoping that it still is alive and hoping it is possible to survive the retreat.

Mechanized HQ is only good if you managed to surprise the enemy and end the game in 15 mins or use it in ultra-late game to get Stuka/KT busting through turtle UK/Soviet, Flak HQ units just scale better
- Obers is good for defending cut-off and protecting MG-34
- P4 is always good, batshit OP when vetted
- Ditto with Jpz IV
- Panther is good vs Lend-Lease Sherman horde and Comet

If you want Werfer on T3, something has to go, it doesn't make sense for the StuG-G or the PZ4 to be in T4, so Ostwind is the best candidate.
Why can't we put P4 in T4? T3 would be pure support units which will fit the OH theme. With P4 in T4 we can now drop T3 price since rushing T3 wouldn't break the game now and OH can now get a Pzwerfer before Soviet get a T70 out or at least at the same time.
With both Pz IV and Panthers in T4 I think Panther can have a price drop now so OH player have to choose either to rush out a T4 or wait for Panther which would be all better at a slight price increase. Panther just needs to fix its accuracy and its price and it will be perfect. |
I was speaking more generally in how unturreted vehicles function in the game, not about penetration values nor the StuG G against the very few and not-often used Allied heavy tanks.
Closing the distance against an opposing target puts unturreted vehicles in their most vulnerable position.
Which is why TWP is so awesome to finish off tanks and at the very least OH can have smoke to bail out from sticky situations. Generally Allied tanks are the ones that needs to dive in since all Axis stuffs works great at range.
Also don't discount the value of having 2 TDs when your opponents only got 1 heavy tanks, more tanks means more options and you don't put all your eggs in 1 basket when it get fausted or hit a mine.
With the current price/performance, there's not much to go T4 unless you are way outplayed your enemy and you tech to T4 to finish him off with Brumbarr/Pzwefer. |
