- Early game, do not capture points by right clicking on the point itself, not only will your squad be in bad cover but you will also lose time. Instead, micro them to the tip of the capture area and as soon as they are done, order them to the next point to capture. If you think that an enemy might show up, put them behind some cover.
- Again use the area of capture to your advantage, if you are getting hit by mortar while capping, move around the area of capture to keep capturing but dodging mortar fire. If you see where the mortar round are coming from, obviously try to move away from it.
- Practice avoiding grenades/Molotov, listen to the voice over to detect them.
-Learn to use houses and get out of them when hearing a grenade/Molotov and then get back in it.
-Plant mines at choke points
-If you bring your engineers with flame to support your main infantry, try to keep them behind your infantry, since they have less health, you don't want them in the middle of the fight.
-Use Truesight to ambush your enemy. |
Yes may have been going a bit too far but the state of the game is so 2nd rate, well not even more like 3rd rate. The most active forums are the steam ones and you would be lucky to find 1 positive post out of 100. I have made a few myself even defending certain aspects of the game but the more I play the more I realise it is a piece of shit in its current state and should never have been released the way it is now. I am not saying it wont be good down the track but as it stands right now it is absolutely pitiful.
No lobbies, No leaderboards, Complete changing of the core COH mechanics (cutoff points, no fuel from strat points, the f-ing cover system is useless now, gameplay imbalances and bugs i.e strafe etc and the list goes on) I feel I am very justified to tell it how-it-is mate and you are justified to feel however you want too aswell because I couldn't give shit anymore.
No lobbies, No leaderboards
I agree. This sucks but they confirmed that they will be adding the leaderboard. Lobbies ? I sure hope so but they didn't say anything.
Complete changing of the core COH mechanics (cutoff points, no fuel from strat points, the f-ing cover system is useless now
The game does need some kind of change.
I still cutoff my enemy all the time, not sure what you are talking about.
There is fuel from strat points, not as many but I do find this is a positive, it creates areas where the battles are more intense. You can also add fuel to any strat point which can also be strategic, lose one and you've just lost 200mp.
Why is the cover system useless? I'm always using it and if you don't you are in trouble.

I believe they only show players searching at your own skill lvl in 1v1s.
ahh that would make sense |
some welcome i get onto this new board.
i offer a common sense answer and get called a troll.
Welcome to the board Fred, were are not all assholes. |
But the real ladder pro players were 1v1 not 2v2 |
Not sure if the in-game searching/automatch is showing the right figures, but last night only 3 players were searching for a 1v1 game.
Steam stats, I've heard that all COH2 players needs to connect through steam is that true ? so are the stats on steam the total amount of players? Usually I see a peak of 10k players.
Although it's still a good amount of players, vCOH had more...
I sure hope this game won't die, although I did prefer vCOH, I'm all about supporting my favourite games, give it some time and hope for the best. I do believe that we always need to try new things, like Relic did, we can't always be stuck on the same game or technology.
A good example, I also play Counter-Strike. When Counter-Strike Global Offensive came out, the originals game still had more players for about 8 months after release and now with all the updates and fixes, Global Offensive is the most played of all Counter-Strike.
Basically, this post is about me worrying about the COH Community and the amount of good players. |
Good to know how you Dev guys are thinking. But please, can you guys stop making "hard counters" to the game?
Oh, he is getting MG42, I need M3, A move and he die
Oh, he has M3, let me get an AC, A move and kill it in seconds.
Oh, he has T2 vehicles, let me get T70 and rape them before Pz4 comes out.
Oh, he has T70, let me GTFO of all my stuff and praying my Pz4 comes faster.
Damn it, those are not skills. Why do you guys make it that casual friendly?
70% of 1v1 automatch are those 4 sentences above. THAT IS STARTING TO BE BORING
COH1 lasts for 6-7 years, those gameplay are still exciting. Every game are so different, there are so many different strat and so many different approach to counter them.
COH2 was just born like 2-3 weeks, and I start getting tired of those IDENTICAL matchup
I feel like not playing Company of Heroes but Company of One Man Army. In COH, We needed a good combined arms to deal with stuff, not ultra hard counters A-move and kill their pray in seconds
+1, get rid of hard counters |
You think they don't? The primary way cheat detection is made is by taking the source code of the hack and trying to find a way to detect it using a hook or something along those lines.
The only way Relic can preemptively catch cheaters is by installing rootkits onto your computer, which is illegal. You're going to be stuck reporting them for investigation after the fact.
The good news is: Steam. If someone is caught hacking their account is banned and they at least lose access to CoH2, if not all of their games.
World of Tanks.
You wanna know why? Because it has servers.
it also has 10x the amount of players playing the game because it's free, and almost a pay to win, which I don't think can work for a strategy game. |
+1
You know - SEGA is rather a big deal you know - they came up with this guy:
They have the muscle to - you know - provide say SERVERS FOR GAMES THEY SELL.
omg you guys are so clueless as to what it takes to support something like Battle.net and it didn't start right away, there was hacking in the first Starcraft.
Unfortunately for now, you cannot have 3-4 games with of the same type with so many players and Blizzard was just "lucky" to be the first best strategy gamne. |
