Complaining about 6 man squads? Again? It's staying, deal with it. Asymmetry people. No one complained about riflemen now did they?
Fact of the matter is: most German players who enjoyed easy, gren-spamming wins are now complaining that there EZ strat no longer works, and instead of trying something like combined arms, continue to bash their head against the brick wall.
Problems on the Soviets side this patch are currently the ISU, and the effectiveness of guards/cons/sniper strat in 2v2s (especially on certain maps).
However, to start saying that "Cons are OP" and other asinine shit is just childish. You can not simply nerf these mentioned units and call it a day. Crossing will then be dominated by elefants, for example.

In this thread: Top 12000 player furiously defends his balance stance against overwhelming opposition. Barton speaks the truth which mainly applies to 2v2 and not 1v1, yet OP and other posters take Barton's statement out of context. Discussion of fanboyism pervails, elchino makes a fantastic point about moderation, and OP now shifts focus to 4v4s (lel).
Guards, con, sniper combo is fairly OP in 2v2. German countersniping is doable, especially in 1v1s, but requires near flawless micro for what is ultimately a frustrating experience, considering the soviet sniper will always retreat with one model (until incendiary shot becomes available, and then its a toss-up).

Not only is the troop training borderline broken, considering it circumvents a core gameplay mechanic, the commander itself has no drawbacks. G43s, Smoke, Stun Nades, and a Tiger Ace? All of those abilities are at least above average, there is not another commander with that type of synergy. |
A hard fought match and wp to both sides. After getting a complete thrashing on Rails and Metal, we were out for rematch blood!
Lots of dead 222s, dirty mines, dirty snipers, and an overall slugfest of a match!

No Kronosauros. Katitof may be rude at times, but at least understands the game mechanics better than most people, and seems to have actually read the extremely detailed patch notes that would answer your whining.
Saturation. Cooldown. What else do you need? Either argue against the saturation (which only a fool would do) or sit down and shush. |
Its not a single s mine, its the infantry that continue to march into the minefield and trigger 1-2 more that cause the squad wipe. Pretty unreasonable to think anyone can react consistently before the second mine is triggered.
Otherwise, I haven't noticed full squad wipes on full health squads becoming more frequent. 3/4 is a regular occurance though. |

Choose Lend Lease
Get 1-2 Dshk
Build T2 for Zis/Mortar (if needed, but T2 is necessary for t3/t4 anyways)
Get AT Nades sometime
Built T4 (or 3)
Call in guards HT, get quad mount
Wait for Shermans
Works quite well, 4 molotov equipped cons harass nicely and if played well should net you at leat 60-70% map control. Dushkas help against gren blobs and early 222s. Quad HT holds the field till shermans. If enemy rushes tanks, AT nades and Zis will hold till Shermans. |
