Ok. Let me begin saying that I have no experience with actually using SCAR, I know where to find all the information but it does have a big learning curve and most of my coding resulted in a fatal scar error ![]() I'm gonna assume you have zero idea of anything so sorry if it is so obvious. Requirements: Notepad++ ScarDoc Download or Online Copy SGA Extractor v 1.2 First lets watch some tutorials by eliw00d at RelicNews (relicsnews is much more of a modders site than coh2 org and if you have questions they know a lot more than most here ![]() So you want to watch the SCAr vid but its better to start with the win condition and then the scar one (or just all of them) Open the scar file in notepad++ and set the language to LUA The best way is to start small and make it bigger and bigger. If you want a more advanced look at scar files you should extract the campaing and tow files. Go to Code and select SPScenariosEF or TOWScenarios if you're into that. Extract them with the extractor. If you do you get an fatal scar go to Code open the warning file that has been modified last and search for fatal or error. the line that has the error will be reported there |

why this huge Bonus at vet2 for the howitzer? Supposedly because the crew switches from 'normal' shells to 'HEAT' shells. I looked at it again and you also get a 50% faster reload ![]() These bonuses are different because it switches to a completely different weapon instead of normal stat bonuses Here is the full difference file between the vet 0 (left) and vet 2(right) You can see it also gets the ability to stun the jagdtiger at vet 2 like other tank shells ![]() By far the best bonus in the whole game but its quite hard to keep a pack howitzer alive In: Guides |

Well I wanted to elaborate but I had to leave for a bit, i probably shouldnt have posted but the reason i did is because the first paragraph was wrong I made a very shitty image cus I dont have any image tools here but you get the idea. Let's say there is a tank with both hhitbox sized the same: ![]() example: a tank has a front armour of 100 an a rear armour of 10. What I gather from this sentence is that he thinks that armour gradually goes from the front value to the rear value, which is OPTION 1 In fact tanks have 2 hitboxes where the armour is the same no matter the spot. OPTION 2 Because the hitboxes are clearly defined you can't hit between the two hitboxes, you will always hit FRONT or BACK but not both. Incoming angle also plays no factor
No the effect will be that two third of the tank has a armour value of 100 and the rear hitbox will have a value of 10 at every location In: COH2 Balance |
