Why not? I think it makes a lot of sense.
Surviving a battle against vet3 enemy units should be more rewarding than against vet0 ones.
It's also less forgiving and allows players to make comaback easier if they can't keep their vetted troops alive. you should be punished severly if you lose vetted units. |
I'd rather keeping the veterancy right now as it is (maybe sweeping and planting mines should give some) but would change only one thing; fighting against higher vet units shouldn't give a vet gaining bonus |

You forgot the StuG E as well, it also has little effect against armour.
It has insane accuracy against infantry, should be nerfed a bit or a price increase. |
Maybe an ability that gives them 10~15 seconds of camouflage out of cover. It would be still a defensive ability to avoid enemy pushes, but not as OP as sprint currently is.
How about cheaper flares for vet 1 just for the lulz? |
Scavenge, Breakthrough (Panzerfusiliers FTW) and Luftwaffe are the best for 1v1s and 2v2s.
Having an HMG + Elite infantry is perfect addition to the OKW unit pool.
Panzerfusiliers are one of the best frontline infantry with G-43s and vet.
Scavenge is just perfect....salvaging more fuel and ammo, having elite light infantry and AI tank is very powerfull.
Special Operations is fine, but you have to rely on your stock infantry and has the very pricy panther. |
Well, all of us can agree that the game has serious performance issues. Since WFA for most of the players it became a lot worse. Freezes, shutters, lack of response and other nasty performance problems; can changes games and kill our nerves.
Following this logic I could be top 1 in 1v1 if I wouldn't have to fight against the game all the time, getting 1-5 sec freezes cost me many games. Before WFA everything was fine for me.
But I don't play a game to be top 1 in the first place, I play because I love the game then I go down the competitive road and if some sort of performance issue stop me from enjoying the game I'm not gonna start fighting the game and ignore this, no1 will ever do it doesn't matter how good at the game.
In the end Inverse had it right, why would we fight against the poor optimization when we have other choices (games) and limited time to use. Issues like this cannot be ignored in a game prepping for ESL. Both Relic and the community knows this.

Rebuilding the OKW trucks was a huge mistake along with the Jagdpanzer and the pumas. Spending all the fuel to a KT would have been better combined with 1-2 Eles. Also an officier + panzerfusiliers or obers are amazing vs REs. Avoiding the M7 is easy with mobile infantry.
When Hans had the chance he should have barraged the sector with the 2 majors once the REs were on the run. |
SO the T34/76 still exists in this game?

Combined with call-ins they are still pretty good vs OKW in 1v1s. |
