What he said ^^^
What a comeback and brilliant counter attacks. Where players like me would have panicked others find opportunity!!! Hats off..
Honored. |
Man I was all about a nerf for mg42 but I think this is a bit much. THe survivability is fine I think HMG teams shouldn't live long if flanked or focused fired, its the pinning that really gets me.
I played a pretty decent sov player the other day, first game post patch and my mg was getting wrecked. Not only was it not in the front lines and serving its support roll, it was barely suppressing. It took so many bursts to get guys dropping to the ground. Not the mention that of 2 cons squad that were charging nearly on top of each other, only 1 got pinned.. I mean, the mg42 sprays bullets everywhere, it is by far one of the most feared and effective pieces of heavy mg in ww2, it SHOULD be feared!!! As a player for both factions (more games with Germans but as of the patch with t34 more games as Russians) I believe it was a bit to much. Even my opponent said the mg42 isn't worth much now. (p.s I had the suppression ability, I forgot to mention that)
Slight increase in suppression please? Maybe longer setup and packup times to make it more even?? |
The rifle nade isnt that strong. Why is that being tossed around like its a game changer? It kills 1-2 guys at best.. |
I'm happy we are getting patches so quickly! Regardless of how I feel about the changes these patches are great for the future of Coh2. I have found myself playing less and less (especially with the release of Rome 2) but just knowing there is a effort to make the game better gives me a lot of confidence. Coh2 will be here for the duration, along with the dev teams who improve it. At least I know that if I do decide to take a break I will come back to a more polished and balanced game! Way to go Relic!! |
LOL are you kidding me!??!? Strafe has been nerfed to oblivion. Sometimes I even see it pass through once and then just fly around wasting time and waving at soviet troops. I have switched to soviets in last patch and t3 is completely viable now. Spammig t34s is a real good strat now as it should be. Some of you may still be stuck in ur op su85 strat thinking its the only way to deal with Germans when its not.
And some posters are right, if he is spamming strafe with the ridiculously munition reliant Germans you are doing something horribly wrong. It's real easy to hunt down opels once you realize he has gone that doctrine. I almost cannot believe some soviet players are still crying about this. Adapt to the battlefield conditions and come up with a different start instead of "sniper guards su85s" lol. |
Just give a slight Nerf to the duration of its flame and maybe a little to its ridiculous armor. Badabingbadaboom!! Its fine. Still strong to kill units who decide to fight it and still has durability to hold off some p4 shells, but not multiple german tanks.

Funny I asked myself this same question yesterday but was reluctant to make it into a forum topic. With my rise in playing Soviets with the new T34s post patch I been looking at Soviets a lot more.
The only reason I think the Combat Engi's should stay at 240 is their ability to plant explosives (very underused ability) and their very strong ability to flame from the scout car. The German counterpart has nothing of the sort. And I agree with Endeav, its seems the CE complitment cons a lot better than the engis do grens.
I will say its tough losing a Combat Engineer squad, much worse than losing pios. |
Hey I don't remember this, ill have to dl the replay w000! |

My unit preservation is terrible but this isn't a display of my proplay. I uploaded this to show the results of fun play with Elephants, German Snipers, mortars, shock troops, kv-8, t34s (a lot), IS-2!!!!, and cannon fodder cons. Pretty crazy game. Hats off. |
