You can't do anything without proper tools. When we get those, serious things may be done.
Until then, play, do some VODs, play in some tournies, stream. That's about it.

The ranking system doesn't matter at all. You knew if someone was a high enough rank they were a decent player, and the higher, usually the better they were.
All that matters if that you have a system that accurately depicts how skilled you are. If the difference between 1000 and 1500 is purely how many games I managed to grind, the system is useless. If the difference between 1000 and 1020 is gigantic, the system is useless.
All they need to do is just use common sense and avoid the pitfalls and mistakes that are pretty easy to spot by anybody. Past that, I don't care what the system looks like as long as it works and I can see it working. |
This is why we have all the CoD rehashes and movie rehashes and so forth. I find this approach quite boring and this stagnates the art that is video gaming.
Except Call of Duty is like playing Russian Roulette. You're get told you're really good because you're the last man standing in a game of chance.
In CoH2 the map plays how you decide to let it play. Chess is played on the same board every time yet it can be played in thousands of different ways.
Guys, wait till the best community mappers start working with the worldbuilder!
Yeah! But first we need to wait for the world builder. Which is when..?
I'm not going to hold my breath for something that does not yet exist. |
Friendly Fire's been around since Beta. It used to be really potent too. I think they messed around with it and it stopped a few patches back except in very specific circumstances. |
pqumsieh said in his recent cast that double T-34/85 is here to stay because "they should be able to flank". pls all blame pqumsieh.
That doesn't even make sense. |
222 gets shit on by the increased damage from AT Grenades. About the only upside of this patch is that early game light vehicle rushes are that bit less effective. Get in a good flank and you're golden.
I've stated my opinion on the MG42 multiple times. I think I've beaten the horse to death in that regard.
Conscripts definitely lack in scalability as combat units, especially with the new AT Grenades. That's why they have merge. Past the mid game you should be using Shock Troopers, Penals, or Guards and using Merge to reinforce them and keep the Cons as capping units and occasionally as meat shields or flankers.

Suppression Bulletin should be removed.
Simply put, if it didn't pin in a single burst, it'd useless because you pin in two bursts anyways most of the time.
Kept as it is, it's ludicrously overpowered. It can't be reasonably balanced. |
The T34/85 should be the tank that's intermediate between a PzIV and a Panther. As in, it'll win vs a PzIV head on, but get absolutely shit on by a Panther.
The call in with two of them is both inefficient and unrealistic. There's been a single 1v1 game since I started playing where I've been in a position to safely achieve that level of resource float.
Reduce the price by about 55% and make it one tank. Once that's done we can start looking at how to actually balance it in relation to its combat effectiveness. |
If it a'int broke don't fix it. Porting maps over is a quick and easy way of adding content to the game. It can be made in a relatively short time because it's already designed for you. Relic doesn't have to go through map balance, concepts and designs, and make sure it works for both factions on both sides. It's already done, so cut the production time.
They were good maps, and frankly looking at the CoH2 maps developed thus far, I'm not sure I really want to see what's in store with future CoH2 map releases.
By the way, we should be given enough veto options to exclude all the winter maps. Please and thank you... |
Tbh the validity of 480MP luxury doctrinal units are pretty irrelevant, when germans can simply drive their scout cars into your HQ and massacre everything there. And ST get murdered by Pgrens. I know that.
That sounds like some truly terrible play on your part. |
