OR MAYBE, JUST MAYBE Relic kidnaped Sturmpanther, hacked his account and now they adding new posts and comments to spread a good opinion about Relic around the community. It's all just a part of a Relic plan to convince us that their company and CoH2 are the best in the world - all of this to make us buy a future COH3.

So there was a massive powercut, Relic HQ went dark, and the Pro Am and subsequent announcement had to be postponed. A_E and Stormless valiantly carried out a great stream, saving the day with an impromptu King of the Hill special.

However, we're now back in business, and the Pro Am is taking place next week!

The format has changed slightly. This time, we've got DevM, Aimstrong, Hans, and another (to be confirmed) community pro, teaming up with Andy, Matt, Ben C and Kyle in a mini knockout tourney. Stormless is on deck to cast the action.

Before the Dark (Previous Format)

Company of Heroes 2 is about to turn five years old, and we’re stoked to see the game and its community in such a strong state of health after all this time! Massive credit goes out to the fans for supporting the game in so many ways. It's amazing to see so many poeple still invested in this game five years down the line.

As part of our celebration, we’re bringing back the Pro Am! Some of you might remember last year’s event. Half a dozen hapless Relicans were paired with six community experts. Battle was fierce, mistakes were made, and fun was had by all. In the end, HelpingHans and Ben C, his Relic amateur, emerged triumphant after an epic showdown against the German duo of Luvnest and Alex.

This year, with GCS2 underway, we figured the top competitors need all the training they can get. We’re pretty sure it doesn’t get more intense than trying to drag a Relic amateur to victory while battling against one of your fiercest rivals.

Taking part, we have veritable COH legends DevM, Luvnest, Noggano, Aimstrong, HelpingHans and VonAsten. Their respective Relic partners will be Andy, Ben S, Sarah, Matt, Ben C, and Kyle. Bringing the hype, A_E and Stormless will be casting the games and chatting with the participants.

The six teams will play three games each in our first round. After that, the best four teams will progress to the semifinals, which will be single elimination matches. The final two squads will then compete for what’s easily the most prestigious prize in gaming, the COH2 Pro-Am Trophy. GCS2 what?

To top it all off, as part of our 5 year anniversary celebration, we’ll be announcing our next update for the game after the conclusion of the final match. Without saying too much right now, it will involve collaborating with the community, listening to your ideas, and using some of them to freshen up the game.
