I veto both Kholodnies and Faymonville/Semosky Winter, the reasoning for which is the fact OKW already are penalized in terms of Fuel income, and thus any map where the fuel is hard to hold, is hard for OKW.
Stalingrad is actually very easy for OKW, depending upon your build. One recommendation I can make on personal experience is using Panzerfüsiliers, and the buildings. A second Sturmpioneer also does not hurt.
Semoskiy as well is very easy once you figure out the buildings and can use them to your advantage.
Try going Med first, into Flak HQ, into a Panther as soon as possible (or Luch depending on map)
Stalingrad in specific is a very fuel-starved map, and if you can get +17 FU per minute this is usually the best you can hope for. Don't get greedy, and remember your units are more expensive to reinforce than the enemy
While I usually favor a Puma+Stuka build, Stalingrad is simply too fuel-starved for such a move. A Panther is a must, as it is your only non-doctrinal vehicle that can both deal with enemy tanks (heavy and medium) and comes equipped with no less than 3 machineguns, one of which is an upgrade option (one I highly recommend)
Back-teching into a Stuka is also a viable option, as games on Stalingrad tend to drag on at length. |
Hoo boy.

Uhh..
Luftwaffe resources have not been able to be picked up by the opposing team for what? Since WFA came out?
There is no risk.
There is no "Hey, what if the herpaderp attacks your fuel point and stealz yerr fuel" argument because it is IMPOSSIBLE.
Same for the medkits dropped by Luftwaffle. They cannot. Be. Picked up.
Kthx.
EDIT: It would be helpful if people did not commentate on doctrines they've never personally played against. |

This game was aggressive from the first engagement. I have never really been challenged like this as Soviets, nor have I had as much fun meeting that challenge.
I'll be the first to admit that my micro at times just gets plain lazy, where I like to focus on one unit and leave the rest hanging. That, in this game, gets punished harshly.

A fledgling strat of mine that.. Well, it certainly has the upside of being hard to predict, and aggravating to fight against.
Kudos to Butterfingers for being a good sport |
Dont speak ill of my Noisey!! He would own you if u werent so damn lucky all the time Fortune!
I you too! |
Why did you not use the Maus Panzer?
Das Führer felt it would make more sense to deploy the Maus as a battering ram. Something about 'Fortress Europe' I couldn't make much sense of it. |
Haha, I totally suck now and I get a pride post, well, I'll take it as a compliment
It's not a pridepost. I don't post games out of pride of winning, if I did you'd see a helluvalot more replays : p |
