This match is either the second best or best match I've played so far since my hiatus - I mean that in the sense that it could've gone either way. Losses were total on both sides, and meta was definitely on the table. In: Replays |

Another great game for today, OKW v USF, things got hairy with the early luch and for a moment I figured it was over, since I'd gone for LT instead of Captain. That's when I remembered vehicles can be degarrisoned. In: Replays |

My 2nd good match since coming back, it was really tight going until the last 3 minutes or so when everything changed. In: Replays |

Toxicity and personal attacks are the reason I've quit this game. Twice. Third time's the charm. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Two things went my way this game. 1. The map favors Conscripts due to the sight blockers and negative cover (sandbags can dictate territory control well into the early- and late mid game provided they're used by suppression units. There is also a distinct lack of Heavy Cover in areas it would be most beneficial for Osttruppen. For this reason Volks have a much better time on Kholodny for being able to lay their own cover in turn. 2. My opponent went for the same doctrine twice, and this time I was ready. I'd learned from game 1 that just because there are superior amounts of Osttruppen on the field compared to my Conscripts, the Oorah!, Molotovs, Sandbags on them and Sprint on Dshk are the way to go. Resource harassment is absolutely crucial vs this doctrine, forcing your opponent to go for an earlier tank choice instead of being able to 'lazy their way' into T4 Panzerwerfers is something that will work in your favor absolutely every time, provided your harassment is coupled with solidly secured fuel income to allow for your M4Cs. I did go for T4 with the intent of getting a T-34, then remembered "Oh wait this is a dumb idea." A Katyusha would've served well but I was sadly population-locked. 14 Population Capacity is quite high for the unit, I feel. In: Replays |

Game 1 of 2 that the matchmaker pitted us against each other, I learned a massive amount of practical things on how to deal with Osttruppen this game. I'll be the first to admit I was salty, I saw absolutely no way back into the game when I realized my opponent had gone straight up to T4, it's only due to lucky map awareness (not being overly busy on the other edge of the map when hearing the cues for arty of any kind being slapped on one of your most important units) that any chance at all was salvaged. I also messed up quite a bit in terms of unit choice (going maxim+dshk was a silly overlap, I would've benefited from a mortar moreso than a Maxim at that point), fumbled about with my doctrinal choice for far too long (Lend Lease to counter Osttruppen when you're losing out on map control is a must) and neglected to react to the pick of the Osttruppen doctrine until it was almost too late, and my field presence and map control were all but decimated. The only insights I could provide for my Soviet opponent would be to not give up on Tellers even if the first ones are swept, and perhaps rolling out a Mortar which specifically is a nightmare to deal with if you're forced to pick a Dshk doctrine. The only other dshk doctrine to go for, Defensive (which is one of my favorites mind), lacks a later call-in tank which means that good map control forces the pick of Lend Lease, which my opponent certainly did. Going T4 was smart, though again Tellers were lacking. The base was relatively unprotected, and in my opinion sacrificing an M4C for a PWerfer is a good trade, despite the high fuel cost, due to the fact that Lend Lease can forego T4 if need be, meaning that the first M4C is basically 45-55 fuel when we adjust for the savings. gg wp In: Replays |

Could always revert back to the old 221/222 thing, make the 221 the scout car variant upgradeable to a more dedicated light tank. |
