It's official boys. We all know the search distribution is directly representative of true balance. I guess Relic gets to work on DoW 3 now since CoH 2 is balanced.
/sarcasm
Search ratio means absolutely nothing. People need to play both sides or they're automatically scrubs.

Wow. This is some epic rage. Props for keeping your cool Hans. I'll have to watch this replay, maybe re-boot my shout-casts with it. In: Replays |

If you're a bit nervous about laddering (don't worry, most people are) just start in more casual game modes like 3v3 or 4v4. It'll help ease the burden of playing against other players because you'll have a team to work with. How skilled that team will be... well who knows. 4v4 is probably more about how lucky you get with a decent team and not playing against a pre-made team than individual player skill. You could do automatch vs AI as well, you add the human component into your playing since you'll be playing with a friend against the AI. Other than that, just go for it. Don't be afraid of losing. Losing isn't as fun as winning of course, but it is your chance to learn and grow as a player. Post replays asking nicely for help and I'm sure plenty of people here at coh2.org can offer you some advice. We won't bite unless you act like a fool. So far you seem like a good guy, I'd be willing to help ya. In: Strategy Desk |

Jaedrik has challenged the COH2 community to take up this banner and present it differently. To that end, Here's my attempt to translate the OP into modern day English: Good translation. +1 Romeo. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Hmm I'm not sure I have the current required knowledge of most top players to give them the sort of analysis that they deserve. Perhaps if I actually start playing CoH 2 again (well more than 1 game a week) I'll spend some time putting together a little something for each of the consistently top 10 players. Thread: Relic's Poorest Design: Contrary To All Reasonable Thought3 Apr 2015, 23:51 PM
During yesterday's livestream, the question of tank critical strikes and plane crashes was raised and addressed, if unsatisfactorily. They were defended in a cautiously wistful, if not blasé, manner. Yet, anyone who has even a cursory knowledge of the game must feel some tension beneath their words. They seem to know at some level, even if only intuitively and vaguely, that their position is running directly contrary to the wishes of the playerbase. This is actually the best post on CoH2.org that I've ever read. Hell, it is probably the best post on any game forum that I've ever read. Beautifully written/constructed. Perfect argument. Simply amazing. I don't know what sway, if any, I have left at Relic but I'm going to try and make sure that Quinn sees this. In: COH2 Gameplay |

I'll have to watch the games to get into more specifics but this is my experience playing with/against/watching POP: Camping cut-offs isn't reinventing the wheel, but POP definitely does it better than anyone else. Then again, he usually puts more resources into it than anyone else. He has always made excellent use of the 251 and positions his MG42s better than most, if not every other player at the moment. His build-orders are always extremely crisp, even to the point of figuring out exactly how long it takes units to move from starting positions to different places on the map so that he knows exactly what he can get away with and what capping orders to use. He really puts his time into researching the game on a deep level. His micro is actually amazing. He has never shown anything on stream but just try and hit any of his units with a grenade... good luck. He uses cover as expertly as any of the other top players and his vehicle micro is top-notch. Rarely will you land a faust on him unless he wants you to and he is ruthless about chasing down retreating squads if you let them get out of position. There's a reason why flamer cars are called POP cars. He is also significantly more patient than I've seen most players be. He isn't afraid to dig in his units and camp his half of the map until he reaches some point in his build in which he knows that he has an advantage. He doesn't let himself get uncomfortable and feed vet to MGs or Snipers until he has a force that will triumph in the ensuing fight. His only downfall in my opinion is that he tends to be tunnel visioned on one strat per patch. Not sure if that is a weakness or just a sign of his high level of discipline. In: Strategy Desk |

This. But yeah kind of the standard Relic letdown stream. They're working on exciting stuff and we should be excited but they can't tell us what because NDA. Oh and Quinn likes plane crashes destroying entire armies. Hopefully balance team can eventually sway his opinion though. In: Lobby |

If you end up sending the hard drive with the computer you should get some kind of application to deep format it or zero the drive. Dunno what all you have on it but I'm sure there's some information there that you don't want people to have access to. A simple reformatting won't really protect you. Good luck selling it and good luck in college. Personally I would keep the desktop at least at home cuz laptops run games like shit unless you spent stupid amounts of money on them. In: Scrap Yard |
