You are not alone. All units are stupidly expensive in CoH. You can have instagibs in games where the cost of a single unit is negligible like TA/SC but not in CoH. At least these abilities are late game and require a lot of munis. Relic moved away from American airborne strafe and Infantry arty at 2 CP which instantly countered the 1st pak for a quick M8. They made arty more late game. Which I don't actually agree with, because tanks are already pounding infantry hard in this game and then you get genocide everything buttons on top of it. A quicker, weaker strafe for trades mid-game is preferable to this. Or those offmaps prefer dealing damage to tanks, I dunno. In: COH2 Gameplay

Also the ammo costs on some of these offmaps are completely fucked. A bombing run is 250 and almost useless unless moon and Venus align and then there is offmap artillery for the same costs which blows everything in a 3km radius sky high. Without warning flares. Veteran Tiger Ace groups were feared in the war for a reason. These guys could hit an enemy tank from 1000m+ while on the move. They wouldn't make their Tiger magically invulnerable to enemy fire though. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Ostheer since new patch22 Dec 2013, 09:25 AM T2 has always been fragile on both sides, if anything this patch introduces micro for Ostheer... I gloriously lost my first game to said MG/guard opening despite responding with FHT. Guards are worth the trade-off vs AT weapons now, as they can actually deal with Pgrens. MGs still dominate the battle field too much, mainly because the game moves so fast between the phases that there is no timeframe to actually take out an MG without automatically falling behind.
