It's a challenge. You always feel on the back foot. They become very fun once you manage to vet all your units to vet 3 and just outplay your opponent. When I play ost I always feel like a phalanx that the enemy breaks themselves upon. I like feeling unshakable in the late game. The meta however tends to wreck this satisfaction as it consists of rocket artillery where the enemy just sits back and bombs the hell out of you. Ostheer isnt offensive so you cant really respond to their artillery properly. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Brummbarr. Not always useful but when it one shots units it's soo satisfying. Also das flame half-track. If they don't have AT around the flame half-track will wipe all their squads. And the sssttuuuugggg! In: Lobby |

I honestly don't mind port of Hamburg. It can be frustrating late game with artillery and keeping infantry alive but the early game I find fun. If they rush the house you get mortars (rip Brits/OKW). Artillery becomes pretty insane on that map though. In: COH2 Gameplay |

The fact is "It was much more broken when Ostheer just build bunker and mg to block the road, and remain everything static which means he don't even have to micro, then keep spamming mortar when the time USF didn't have a mortar in team game." "Lazy ostheer player?" You had a hard time vs bunker spam? Did you ever try separating your troops so they don't all get pinned and you can use smoke to negate bunkers? USFs didn't need mortar. I actually came here looking for the same answer, but more for early-mid on narrow maps like Ettelbruck or Rails and Metal where MG/Mortar lockdown + Shrekblob works wonders. At the end of the day you have 2 options to with the game (generally) Option A: wipe all their infantry with indirect fire and rocket artillery Option B: break the defense with combined arms and steam roll with tanks. Against late game OKW you MUST wipe vet squads. Easiest way to do this is with tanks or indirect fire. If you notice he's going jp4 or jt or even panther or pumas, don't both getting tanks, just spam infantry and artillery since his tanks won't really be useful against your infantry. Allies have AT on their infantry. Use it with arty and you'll win. In: Strategy Desk |

Your BO is usually map dependant but i like to go UC (for kubel) then vickers then another tommies --> tech --> sappers or sniper. Spam trenches and cover everywhere. It will win all engagements until then tech flame nades. Always have your vickers far behind your tommies. Don't worry about capping until youve forced off his initial attack. Use ALL your units together. Brits function similar to OStheer for the beginning engagements of the game. They need everyone fighting to force them off. Then cap. Use the UC to prevent harrassment and scout your flanks so he cant flank your vickers. In: UKF Strategies |
