Like in close combat? Usually mediums will try to attack brummbar's rear so if they get close even the slow projectile will have good chance to hit. So if two tanks are both low on health a penertrate shot could change the result...idk.

Yes and that's the problem, current su-76 doesn't perform good enough to persuade players sacrificing their t4 timing to get it. Back teching for zis is always better even it cost 2x manpower.

Cons and penals struggle to fight grens and vgrens when the axis infantry has weapon upgrades. So as soon as you reach t3 you get a t-70 to help you deal with infantry and weapon teams, because it has anti-infantry power which soviet needs in mid game.

Su-76 can use a rework to be come a mobile indirect fire platform with ability to deal with light vehicles.

Rework the orginal barrage to let it fuction like scott in limited time and grants it smoke barrage, then it can help soviet infantry fight well-armed axis infantry. It shouldn't be counter to mediums so nerf the penertration to that of pumas.

If su-76 is to be reworked as a support vehicle, then it can create diversity in soviet t3 game play. Either use t-70 to chase and hunt down infantry and team weapons, or use su-76 to get indirect and smoke support and shut down light vehicle at range.

The problem of this unit is its role. When sov reach t3, it always urges for anti-infantry firepower.

I see the Soviet 82mm mortar less than I see the su76, but I don't think that's because the PM-41 is a bad unit.

Soviet mortar will always appear in 4v4 or 3v3, maybe it's because you are not familiar with all gamemodes.

In large team games people get pm-41 for its flare like they get m5 for AA. They got su-76 for its free barrage before the nerf, but not now.

Soviet t3 now is like you get only 2 vehicles through teching up, while other factions are getting more things playable. Su-76 should at least get a improvement in utility, like the buff given to pm-41: making flare available in vet0, not vet1.

My idea on it is to give it toggle ability to set up like okw aa-halftrack, and fires indirect shells in a fire arc (like leigs) within 60 range. If that's what it gains, nerf its penertration to that of pumas. So at least if you skip t2, su-76 can provide mobile indirects with persistency and enough at to counter lights. Then this unit is playeable again with soviet multi-purpose philosophy.

Usually pak40 doesn't get decrewed by vehicle 60 range away. Scott is an exception, but you won't use pak to counter it.

ISU and KV-2 can be troublesome, then you will need elephant.

If pak is killed by cqc, it just means you have played badly.
