Recon is already in the game. The only thing unique about artillery flares/early warning is that they are uncounterable, and that's not a good thing
Then why not make all artillery strikes plane based too, they too are uncounterable. |
Yes, let's kill all the remaining unique(ish) abilities from the game. |
Churchill is 18 pop and cant reliable pen anything above p4, your point ?
his point is allies can afford to have(pop cap wise) a composition that can deal with anything and ost can not. |
As far as I know it really depends on the map though. In Steppes (one of the largest maps) the bombs arrived 0.5-1s later according to Tightrope's test. But we did some internal tests on the middle of Crossroads and came to the exact opposite conclusion, that the bombs appeared to be dropped faster than before (at a similar timing as the pre-adjustment cluster bombs, which meant team weapons could barely escape it) and that the plane's speed might need to be reduced.
We had hoped for more playtests to give us a better picture (instead of all this speculation), but we might have to wait for the "live tests" to make further adjustments.
Yo got a questivson, The brits are plenty strong in 3v3's and 4v4's yet you guys threw caution to the wind while buffing them, how does their buff not make them more stronger in 3v3 and 4v4.

Chruchill, Comet, T34/85, ISU, IS, Pershing, Easy8,... all of them are allrounders. While Germans get Elephant and Jagdtiger, bouth useless versus Infantry.
Your logic is no logic.
and every single one of the ally tanks can't exactly 1v1 a panther. |
Axis isn't allowed to have strong airstrikes.
Allies isn't allowed to have strong tanks |
Storms can even beat the likes of Shocks or Thompson Paras if these units aren't attack-moving (pretty likely with any CQC troops), preferably if they've moved to a location that require them to have to turn around to shoot back...it won't be by a lot though.
Don't take this the wrong way, do you play the game.
I once had a vet2 mp40 stoms ambush a shock squad in my s-mine(2 models lost on the shock). The shock squad still managed to beat the living shit out of my vet2 mp40 stoms. |
The T-34 ram + off map is rather easy combo to pull to and it also rather cheesy.
So I would suggested some of following changes:
T-34/85
Ram remove, cap territory replaced by a more interesting ability like a smoke round or a round similar to Pershing.
T-34/76
Ram moved to vet 1 cap territory removed or move to vet 0. Ability now scale with veterancy.
Possible bonuses, reducing engine overheat chance, immobilize critical replaced with engine damage at vet 3, increase penetration.
Other possible changes:
Stun enemy vehicle only on penetration, timed weapon disable on deflection
Ram replaced with "flank" speed an ability that increases sped of the vehicle on straight line more like a skill shot. At vet 1 replaced by a similar ability that can also ram.
Like why man, why sacrifce the ram at the alter for the crimes of the IL2 AT strafe. |
Panthers were exceptionally mobile for their size and weight, because they had a big engine and wide tracks. With almost 14 HP/ton they had a higher top speed and probably better off-road performance than the Sherman (Firefly) at 12 HP/ton. And more than the IS-2 which had 13 HP/ton.
So even though historical accuracy is never leading in CoH, there certainly is some historical justification.
I honestly don't understand why people bring up historical accuracy into coh1. cus IRL the t34's had superb effective armor which is not the case in game. |
Stormtroopers are perfect the way they are. Katitof said it perfectly and you’re just not listening as usual. This is the same conversation everyone had wjth zero who didn’t know how to use Stormtroopers.
There’s no drop off on DPS, you ambush an enemy squad at the perfect range for you and worst range for them and pop tactical advance to pull off a wipe. This can happen vs retreating low health aquads, long range squads, engineers and weapons teams. If you pull off the ambush properly you should get a wipe with no model loss or 1-2 losses then retreat afterwards.
I really don't understand how that they are properly designed.
Like what, since wehr units are cheap and your used to loosing often make the properly balanced it doesn't matter if they obliterate your squad in an instant, cus your used to it and have tanks.
And since allies have no good tanks and are more reliant on infantry that's why it takes st forever to kill anything of theirs seeing as loosing even 1 unit is way too punishing. |
