I would not call Pgren STG worse then elite G43, they are just different. Probably same could be said about basic G43s and Volk STGs. But if you compare elite G43 with basic STG, then you are probably right. That depends on your definition of better though. In case of PG's, units that can't win against them at close range still does not with g43 upgrade the same is true for units that beat them at close range. How ever unit that could beat vanilla PG's from long no longer can beat them from long when they have G43. Also G43's are much better at running and gunning. So g43 for PG's are a net win over all. The sam can be said for Stormtroopers. As even Cav rifles can beat them at close range. What changes for them is their Time to kill support weapon. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Why no more non-linear teching9 Apr 2021, 14:51 PM Why has all non linear teching been removed. Ost and Sov now essentially have linear tech. All the risk of USF non-linear teching has been removed. Only OKW and Brit has somewhat of non-liner teching but for the british it's just essentially the same thing as doctrine choice. WHy???? The DPS alone is higher than 4 IR StG's, the strongest single weapon in the game, which is limited to 2. The HP was a point I forgot to bring up, but models in CoH1 did not have standard health values, Stormtroopers could eat a Grenade and still decimate a squad of Rifles. Though to be honest stg44 weren't the strongest weapons in the game. F42's had an equivalent of 32 dps and the grens lmg 42 had 35 dps(if rifles got that it would 78 dps by vet3). In: COH2 Balance

Double MP 44 (the upgrade came in 2x MP 44 packages) Stormtroopers had insane DPS, the Knights Cross Holders and Panzer Elite Assault Grenadiers / MP 44 Panzer Grenadiers didn't hold a candle. Though for 150 Munitions and I don't remember how much Manpower, they better be good. Anyway I remember them deleting any infantry unit they got close to, and I used them probably about the way you'd use Panzergrenadiers in CoH2. At vet 3 coh1 stormtroopers had Camo 114 hp per model (literally 2x of allied models) equivalent of 1.8 armor passive healing the stg 44 in terms of coh2 dps would be around 28 dps which is nuts. Thread: German Infantry Commander adjustments8 Apr 2021, 05:30 AM I think a simple cost reduction to 50 or 45 muni would do it for me. It's just not worth getting it anymore over the lmg 42. They neither have the fire power/toughness to fight close. Ass grens don't have that kind of fire power but they are very hard to kill because of their mad 0.6 ra this is unlike shocks who has .83 ra with 1.5 armor. Most MG's have higer pen than that so shocks are actuaaly weaker to MG's than ass grens. In: COH2 Gameplay
