It require vet and asking for a lot of micro want to use on the front. And event if he make the shot, all he can do is a temporary effect that not event slowdown the tank. It does deal snare again light but all other faction have 10 time easier snare vs light, and By your logic if enemy is over extenting then almost everything is "useable" Jump back to quoted post2 Sep 2020, 09:03 AMullumulu - 6 pounder is very good..one of the best AT gun in game. so dont act like its weak..even more when you think about the all the other AT ability from brits Dont put words into my mounth, when did i say that the 6 ib is weak ? You are the one who said the 6 ib is "a very fast setup AT gun which never misses", which is simply wrong and i just point it out. It USED TO HAVE an accuracy bonus again light vehicle bit lost it for a good long time. It is basically a Pak clone with different vet 1, end of the story. Sapper alone take down P4 from full HP ??? with out any support ??? are we playing the same game ? or the P4 player is AFK ? The 17ib can get a coupe of shoot in the fist contact but after that, nothing will be in it range as long as the other player have a brain and any single off map/indirect will drop on it till it's dead. But when u fail with it..its mostly your own failure. don't let it alone and don't let it get circled FF weakness include: Slow reload, slow rotation, low mobility, require many care and support. It is speciallized to fight again heavy amour with high dmg and pen, but less effective vs light and fast target due to slow rof and rotation. It can easily be out flanked and kill if out of position. Again, you are making your own story and put it into my mouth, i never say anything about FF being weak or i have any problem with it, i point out that it have a good (intended) design. I also find Comet a bit OP, specially in armor, acceleration and speed terms. I think it should lose it AI power. Should be only good against tanks. Cannot be excellent at everything. i dont mind if the commet become a Panther clone but you have to careful with what you wish. Currently, the commet AT is OK-ish at best and it AI got buff through MG which seriously decrease when yellow covers are every where late game. At it timming, armor mean very little if it have to fight panther everywhere, againt hight pen gun, more HP (like the case of panther or chill) is always more reliable than a couple of armor. Point is, if pp want to turn commet in to an AT specialist, no matter what, it will end up being a panther clone, and playing again a panther horde late game was never a comfortable experience. Panther has same 260 frontal armor and 90 rear armor, while coment has like 110 or 120 rear armor, but 160 less HP. On the other hand all Churchills are just stupidly OP in terms of survivability. When I checked them, them both crock and AVRE had 1080 HP and standart one has 1400 HP while having 290 frontal and 180 (!!!!!) rear armor. To give it perspective, PIV at close range has 120 penetration I belive and JP4 has 185 penetration at medium range. Not to mention that regular churchill has better penetration then PIV. a bit of correction here but stock churchill have only 240 front armor, which is the same with OKW p4, and so AT, TD like stug or JP4 all have decent change of pen it front. Churchill's survivability come mostly from it HP (and the smoke) and it also mean a Vet dispenser for all units pen it. In: COH2 Balance

Well yes, but actually no. - Sniper critical shot is temporary and not slowing down the vehicle. It need vet and is dangerous to use. - 6 pounder only set up fast with vet 1 and it lost it accuracy bonus from long ago. - We all know PIAT will 9/10 time end up on sapper and it is nowhere near shreck. The snare and PIAT both on a squad is another issue. - Bofors can deal with P4 nowday ??? Seriously ??? - Emplacements in general is close meaninglessness and the 17ib is no exception. - Firefly is the best heavy TD design-wide, with clear streng and weakness. Those upgrades cost is pretty prohibitive enough (won't be built twice) but an OKW player should be able to upgrade both truck even with repair bots and healing. 2. I'd try "buffing" volks with a possibility to forfeit one weapon and get a sweeper which would be permanent (no holster) and this way make them repair and sweep. This way they could support armour more effectively. This would be in line wit the concept of OKW being "mobile" as they would increase field presence of OKW armour a bit. Volks would still probably be inferior and more expensive to UKF sappers this way. Why just neft stum and make them cheaper so okw can have cheaper repair. By the mean of delay stg. If okw doesn't running around with fully assault rifle squad right from minute 0, a neft to section or event rifle's early game power lv can be done right after. Field HQ. - Have two upgrade for research: + Pyrotechnic supplies: 100 mp /20 fuels. + Weapon rack: 100 mp / 20 fuels. + Bolster research is removed. - Infantry section: + Cap rate change to 1 from 1.25. + RA = 0.85. + Spawn as 4 man. + Have 1 weapon slots. + Have 2 upgrade as: Riles section upgrade and Bren gun section upgrade. + Rifle section upgrade require pyro supplies researched and cost 30 muni. Upgrade add a tommy Sten smg to the squad, allow squad to be reinforced to 5 man and use mills bombs as well as HEAT grenade. The upgrade also gives 1.25 cap rate, 0.8 bonus to RA and 1.2 accuracy but take up all slot. + Bren gun section upgrade require weapon rack unlocked and cost 45 muni. Upgrade add a Bren lmg in to the squad and allow squad to be reinforced to 5 man and gain 1.5 building rate (trench, bags and caches). Upgrade dont take up slot so squad still can pick up another Bren at the rack for the total of 2 lmg. + Rifle section and Bren section upgrade will lock out each other. - Vicker MMG team and UC are unchanged. - Medic squad removed. - M1 81mm mortar team added, require platoon CP to be deployed. 2. It take up no slot so squad can pick up another PIAT for total of 2. - Mortar pit removed. - Boffor tech removed. - AEC unlcok cost to 20 fuel and unlock both AEC and boffor. - Assault officer renamed to Platoon HQ section. + 4 men squad of 1 officer carry pistol and 3 tommy models carry rifles. + Have tommy med kit pre-upgraded (improve CD and range). + Recon sweep require company CP to be built. + Can upgrade to deploy a bombardier, cost 45 muni, require weapon rack or pyro unlock. Yes, im still leaning. Yet the whole idea of my is bren sections and rifle sections are completely district and both valuable. My plans was to set moving acc of base sections at low level and let rifle section upgrade improve it up to 0,55 or so as well as a more mid range rifle profile. If rifle sections can fight decently on the move and carrying grenade then things such as assault sapper is less necessary. Meanwhile bren section have good old double lmg on 5 man squad set up on top of being able to built defense faster but also come with the drawback of non having any grenade and poorly on the move. The issue im having is not the type of weapons but "changing weapon of the whole squad". upgrades related tp changing squad weapons often mess up with pick up items. Further more my original ideal is giving them better default smg at higher unitt initial cost, the assault sapper upgrade only add the model, not improve their weapons. In: COH2 Balance

(Generally speaking Thompson should limited to elite infatry only since the do not use a SMG profile and have good mid DPS) Having engineer units using a mix of SMGs and bolt action rifles should also be avoided since the unit performance changes allot when taking casualties. The officer in my mod is nolonger an "assault" officer, as i rename him to Platoon HQ section. His load out is base on actual HQ section of a British rifle platoon of the time, which consist of 4 man with rifle and a 2 inches mortar team of man (mortar team is represented by the rifle grenade and smoke ability). He is a support oriented unit. Recon plane require company cp so it is like that of major. Still, i can replace it with some kind of flare for sniper like soviet. About tommy thompson smg, i did use the sten model at the begining but i cant find a sten gun icon to add to the UI so i change to thompson. Due to my limitations of my modding skill, i cant make the icon of rifle section and bren section clearly distinct so i go with the thompson and bren icon. Assault sapper is just an experimental of my own for fun purpose only along side several other thing like 2 man sinper team or 25ib emplacement. They event have a supper thompson profile. They are not meant for balance and i wont suggest them into the live game. If anything, for serious, i will make a version of assault sapper upgrade without smoke and change gammon bomb to some thing else. With the heavy engineer section upgrade, what i want is to change whole squad to rifles and allow putting away sweeper but again due to limitation of skill, i cant get it fully done. In: COH2 Balance

Main points include: - No more global bolster. - 5th man upgrade is per squad and require reinforce to full size. - Historical reference squad load out and up grade system on sections. - No more moving healing section blobs. - No smoke/arty call in on mainline - Assault officer rework with historical reference as a support oriented unit. - Add close range fighting capabilities for sapper. The change is as follow: 1. Field HQ. - Have two upgrade for research: + Pyrotechnic supplies: 100 mp /20 fuels. + Weapon rack: 100 mp / 20 fuels. + Bolster research is removed. - Infantry section: + Cap rate change to 1 from 1.25. + RA = 0.85. + Spawn as 4 man. + Have 2 weapon slots. + Have 2 upgrade as: Riles section upgrade and Bren gun section upgrade. + Rifle section upgrade require pyro supplies researched and cost 25 muni. Upgrade add a captain thompson smg to the squad, allow squad to be reinforced to 5 man and use mills bombs as well as HEAT grenade. The upgrade also give 1.25 cap rate and 0.8 bonus to RA but take up all slot. + Bren gun section upgrade require weapon rack unlocked and cost 45 muni. Upgrade add a Bren lmg in to the squad and allow squad to be reinforced to 5 man and gain 1.5 building rate (trench, bags and caches). Upgrade take up 1 slot so squad still can pick up another Bren at the rack for the total of 2 lmg. + Rifle section and bren section upgrade is mutually exclude. - Vicker MMG team and UC are unchange. - Medic squad removed. 2. Upgrade increase squad side to 5 and add a rifle grenade launcher to the squad as well as unlock a smoke launcher ability like that of usf echelon.
