I do agree with most of your points, except for the concentration barrage/Sexton hard counter howitzer, TOT do guarantee to kill howitzer but concentration barrage do not, i believe there was discussion about this specific ability before. Still, i dont deny the fact that Royal artillery have a very strong line up.
On the other side, i want to bring assault infantry and heavy tank combo on the table, such as ass gren into tiger or shock into Is2. Note that im specifically refer to assault infantry so combos like guard/isu or pfulisier/jagtiger is not included. |
Imo the problem is lies with commander. Current Rangers and Pershing do not belong to same commander ( same goes for calliope and ranges).
If one move Rangers out of the commander one could adjust the Pershing.
May be replace ranger with cav rifle with adjustments? It was cavalry company after all. |
Ok then, now riddle me this: Why have a doctrinal upgrade that is significantly WEAKER then stock option when the stock option is also extremely early game?
Dual BARs are much stronger then para carbines and rifles do not have any survivability issues due to their vet.

This isn't airborne coy. The upgrade will be available much earlier than para(which is 3cp if im not mistaken), and only add 1/2 carbine. If everyone dont like 6 man rifle then just forget about it. |
The Stug is an assault gun not a tank destroyer. The SU 76 as vipper just said has 60 range. The m10 is not one either in this game specifically, even though its named as one . It lacks range and sight so does not fit into the TD category.
Now i have a feeling that you are messing up game and real life.
Anyway, talking of range, 50 range on panther, stug and m10 while being shorter than other TD, but still more than enough to out range other non TD vehicle, typically 40-45 and will actually fit into your philosophy of TD. Still, I dont know the reason behind that obsession with range of you but simply defined a TD by range only is nowhere near right. |
Personally I would go for a m1 carbine upgrade as it would be far more unique. If you want a Thompson squad you can get can rifles, paras or rangers
If they can become 6 man with all carbine then the upgrade is considerable compare to BAR. I personally would like to see 6 man rifle with 1 to 2 carbine and fire up attached to the upgrade, in exchange for no Bar ofc. |
What a load of utter rubbish . No IT IS NOT A TANK DESTOYER. A tank destroyers role is to be at the back line taking long range shots at the enemy. That is it's primary purpose. Does the Panther do that? NO Does it have the range of a TD? NO, Does it at least have good vision? NO, so is flat out not a tank destroyer.
So, what do you call a stug, or a M10 ? Or Su 76? They all have 50 range, too ? What's with that "it have to have TD range" ? |
Panther IS NOT A TANK DESTROYER stop calling it that . It's a CHASER tank ... It's role, (if you can even call it that) is to CHASE other tanks down with no moving accuracy bonus. That is the problem with the Panther and has been the problem with Panther since forever.
Event if panther is not a TD like you said, it's time to fire is in line if not better than other premium med, so whatever category you put it in, it is in line. |

The commander does not need a powerful off map, it currently give players a strong early start so it should not also provide power late game off map.
There should be limit to what commanders offer so that more commander should become attractive.
Still, there are commanders with shock troop and is2 or ass gren into tiger. While i do agree that isn't the best design but the change wont go any further than make the commander allround decently. I Also suggest Precision Barrage from advance emplacements regiment. It was a good ability being wasted by being in a garbage commander, and it use the same 155mm artillery profile. |
