Well, the mod team say no to a stock land mattress, so it have to be made with what we got.
Say, if Ro.E can have a rework, since just swap them to t0 wont be attractive enough. As i already suggest giving them rifles, how about give them a rifle grenade upgrade, (lee enfield rifle grenade animation do exist and look very nice)
Ofc, this rifle grenade shouldn't auto attack to not become another annoying case like echelon. Instead they will have a smoke launcher ability and a barrage ability that fire 3-4 grenade. This can be a pretty handy way to offer a mobile smoke dispenser and garrison clearing tool for the faction. |
If Ro.E is moved to T0 they can be the starting unit, too, so UKF will stat with an engineer squad like all other faction.
A change to a rifle with CE performance will be preferable, and more realistic. |
maybe springfield rifles, with a dps curve similar to grens K98? I believe the weapon models already exist in the game.
also, I will double down on the beacon availability again, being only on the pathfinder is stupid since it's a fairly pricy unit and trying to drop anything on the field without a beacon is borderline suicide.

Further more on top of the changes i suggest above (sapper with rifles), sapper can be made to that they nolonger benefit from bolster, but instead gain the 5th man via the sten upgrade or heavy engineer upgrade. This can lowered the overall effectiveness of bolster since it only affect section, at the same time player can have an other way to get 5man infantry beside bolster => diverse. |
With Royal Engineers having a capping bonus at the moment, what do people think about putting them in T0?
Possibly in combination with reverting the AEC build time increase, moving medics, and giving the UC a ~10 fuel cost. And gating the destroy cover ability behind a unit upgrade or tech.
These changes may increase build diversity (think early capping power and doctrinal flamers), while also making the 222 less mandatory to counter the UC (as the UC would now delay tech) and in turn (with RE on the field) making the AEC less mandatory to counter a 222.
So for example changes could be roughly:
- (Royal Engineers now have 1.25 capture rate)
- Royal Engineers moved to T0
- Blow up cover ability locked behind T1
- Medic Squad moved to T1. This way going for early doctrinal flamers (potentially strong) would lock you out of early healing on Infantry Sections
- Possibly 5-10 fuel cost added to UC
- Possibly revert AEC build time increase
This look promising but need and can use some more teak.
- Sapper can have their weapon change to rifles (Close to CE rifles). Platoon CP will then have an upgrade for 25/45 muni that change back to sten and unlock destroy cover. The upgrade cost i suggest depends on how powerful are the sten. Heavy gammon bomb can be move to sapper via this upgrade. I will call this "Close support Sapoer", exclusive with "Heavy Engineer". With rifle as stating weapons, heavy engineer can benefit from a better weapon profile overall => diverse.
- If UC have a 10 fuels cost, you can let it capture point, at least pre-upgrade. This contribute to solving the map control issue => diverse, at the same time prevent spamming UC. |

in the bug fix note, there is a line said the scope lee enfield having it profile fixed, so it will be a such a waste if it can make it to the game, like, in live, this weapon cant be found anywhere in the game, which is a shame. |
As said, scrap the tank commander or the vicker k pintle and let it be 18 pop. Both tank commander and pintle gunner sticking theirs head out on top of the tank at the same time look silly and unrealistic since the it need at least 2 man inside to operate the main gun, namely gunner and loader.
And have anyone try the grenade ability on a churchill with vicker K pintle? God,It look like the grenade flying out from the stomach of the gunner. Bloody awful.
Just scrap the pintle and keep the tank commander. The commander is the thing that fit the faction design, not the non-existen viker K (the british dont mount vicker K on top of their tank like that irl).
If more AI is needed, let the grenade available from vet 1 with more expensive cost and reduce it cost to normal at vet 1.

A good change but sniper shot should not snare light vehicles since they should act a counter to sniper.
It is time to give the british sniper a nomal, No.4 (T) scoper rifle and be done with the bullshit sniper AT rifle. Watch forgotten weapon, balance team? a Boy AT rifle is not a sniper rifle. |
