I play Soviets most of the time because otherwise it means interminable waiting otherwise for some senseless slaughter of some poor sucker who's crazy enough to choose Soviets instead of me.
I despise the need to cheese Soviets as much as you do, which is why I always make sure to play something different every single game if I can. I was probably one of the first guys in open beta to spam maxims, but I soon got sick of it (no late game oomph) and went over to something more inspiring (with predictable results for my winrate).
Yeah, most of my allied games came from "don't wanna wait". But I don't thikn Axis are OP. Soviets aren't OP now, neither are Amis as a whole.
All factions have some OP units. And Axis tanks are definitely the best (Which I guess is the reason for the high search %)
Big tanks are fun, Sovs have only 1, Wehr has 1.5 (Tiger, Panther is .5) OKW have KT and Jagd and Sturmtiger, which are all vey fun.
Amis have stuart mortar thing ( ) It's actually very useful but it's not a KT or Tiger.
PERSHING PLS! |
I think it does prove something is wrong.
However much you can wrap some maths logic around it, an unhealthy amount of people are searching axis and not only that, are unwilling to even switch sides when they see such skewed numbers.
That shows there's something wrong, it proves that the majority of players recognise, consciously or unconsciously that particular sides are easier or imbalanced (likely the latter).
The fact that such imbalances in player searches have persisted since the game's launch no matter what has happened only shows that something is wrong.
If the % in automatch mean something, then what does your playercard% mean?
96% Soviets
4% Wehrmacht
You claim that "lots of biased players = OP". But you're biased for the allied side as are many other people. By your logic that means allies are OP too. Or are allied players heroes of light, fighting for the underpowered everywhere?
There are plenty of Allies-only players. This is not an indicator of them being OP, just as axis-majority isn't either.
Try axis for 20-30 games, then see if it's really as OP as you think. I'm pretty sure you'll be fed up with flamer-ht/sniper spam/rifle blob by game 7.
Back on topic:
Sovs are boring to play, have the worst voice files (It's important ), require the most cheesing in order to win. I hate the soviet cheese strats but without them sovs have a hard time.
Amis are too repetitive. Rifles to AA HT, then blob up supported by Jacksons and Shermans as required.

Yeah, something needs to change in the OKW-US match-up, Kubel is very strong there. On cut-off maps it's a little beast.
But vs Soviets I don't think so. Just before the patch the Soviet-OKW match was very bad for OKW. Flamer M3, snipers trololol. Did just a bit more range on the Kubel change that completely? I don't think so.
M3 is on a fairly even footing, Maxim can't be suppressed + does decent damage and ATG takes 90% of its health.
If they move the damn sov M3 out of T1, I'd say nerf dat Kubel. But while sovs have such a powerful early game vehicle, I think the opposing side should too.

The problem with giving the ISU-152 a switch between HE and AP rounds would make no sense.
The HE shell alone was enough to rip turrets off of panthers and tigers. AP for the ISU-152 wasn't widely used.
Gameplay > reality.
The game is only based on reality. Shall we also have Tigers, Panthers and other heavy armour one-shotting tanks from 10X map distance? MGs that can wipe out a squad in 5 seconds?
The ISU needs to be fixed. The HE/AP idea is one possibility. Discounting it because "but in real life..." is not good.
(PS, I know the ISU-152 was a scary beast. It was nicknamed "PIZDEC VSEMU" which vaguely translates as C*NTFC*KS EVERYTHING. But gameplay Burts, gameplay!)
To mods: you can invis this post if it is too agressive, but you should consider having a fair moderation towards everyone on the board. katitof is maybe never crossing the politeness line, but he is flamebaiting 24/7 and left untouched every goddamn time.
Oh god, +1, Amen. I didn't troll here before I met Katitof :/ |
I didn't mean you here, I meant sierra. Reading comprehension on the context of the post you quote and previous posts from the discussion it might refer to please. So about that reading more carefully thing...
Multiquote - it exists to avoid such situations. You started with my quote and didn't mention Sierra. |
So you'd take barbarians squad with clubs and give in return effective ambush squad with really great long and short range dps that can spawn out of buildings allowing to actually breaking german infantry maginots line instead of throwing a molo and running home after realising you were issued blanks(partisans)?
Since for soviets it would change a whooping nothing(you'd still face maxims or snipers and conscripts and penals would still be useless), where do I sign up?
I don't believe falls are that much of a problem, your comparison of falls to shocks is beyond retarded, its like comparing a boat to an airplane, but saying they are like partisans also makes any player who have ever used partisans burst with laughter. If fallshirms were ever to be changed in any way, I'd make them much cheaper and put FGs as 50-70 muni upgrade. But I'd much rather give acute munitions to partisans.
"beyond retarded". You must have attended a good uni to have such good communication skills. So smart, no trolling.
No, I wouldn't take Partisans over FallschirmJs. I never said that. How do you come to these conclusions...? Do you just see my name and start making things up? Reread what I said. 6/10, better luck next time.
And how the hell is comparing 2 doctrinal infantry units at 2CP and 3CP like comparing a boat to an airplane? #gobacktoshool.

When I'm ordering a meal from McDonalds and they forget something, the employee has no right to call me an asshole when I voice my concerns (They are allowed to think it, though). This is very bad image to have. I've since had other community members voice the same concerns about this employees conduct. Shame.
He didn't "voice his concerns" he insulted him. Maybe Mcdonald's employees have to grin and bear it but any decent company doesn't force its employees to take shit from abusive clients.
Still, Relic might want to have a word. And someone suggested he change his name, I'd second that. |
[00:00:12] taxman66: gonna kubel and truck push?
[00:00:13] taxman66: noob
[00:00:22] [ |?] B R E A K I N G B R A D: lolw hy are you so angry
[00:00:37] taxman66: because you're bad
[00:00:40] taxman66: and use exploits
I think that justifies Brad calling Taxman an "asshole".
"Are you going to use abilities that are in the game? Then you are noob and bad?" is what he's saying. Taxman, did you ever use that 0CP US jeep? Was that an exploit? I'm gonna go ahead and assume you used it plenty. Then said "l2p, adapt" when people complained. Am I right?
Neither of those things are exploits. An example of an exploit would be creating new squads by crewing support weapons while they're being salvaged.
Maybe they shouldn't be the way they. But they are that. Just like ISU and flamer-in-HT. So, as all the great ones say, #adapt. And expect to be called an asshole if you start out by insulting your opponent. |
Damn, I wish soviets had 44-16dps partisans with rec acc modifier increasing their survival.
If you loose unit different then a scout car to partisans you should quit the game forever.
You always say "Assymetrical balance" to people who say they want the same type of unit. So... Assymetrical balance.
You have shocks. Less CP, armoured, more models, cheaper grenade, vet0 smoke, same price. I'll swap Fallschirms for shocks any damn time.
But until then, remember your own words, Katitof - "assymetrical balance".
I rarely get Fallschirms, and only 1 squad a game when I choose Luft. They come out after most other elite infantry and light tech is available. I've not seen them cause several units to retreat like Shocks can.
Are Fallschirms really causing so many problems? |
