Relic if you consider doing the Spectator mode it would be Great if you add so the spectator could see what both factions are building at the same time (example top left shows units under production for blue player, while top right shows units of the red faction under production. Also building that have been build notifications should be aligned the same blue left red right) My 2 cents to the suggestion box =) |

There was alot of soviet propaganda, which increased the hate against germans in general, making them be responsible for everything.
Same goes for the Nazi propaganda against Jews and Soviets. For them we were lesser beings, monkeys who didn`t deserve the land they occupied and should be all exterminated from the face of the earth |
First of all, you should stop calling Soviets, Russians and Nazi, Germans, that would be great.
Then I don't know what's the point of the thread but during the whole ww2 conflict, Soviets weren't "saviors" AT ALL for Europe (in comparison with USA and UK). Just open a book to learn about the 50 years post-ww2.
Pepsi srsly? Are you for real? Open a map and check the distance from Moscow until Berlin and after that check the distance from Normandy until Berlin. The start calculating how many countries The Allies liberated and how many countries the Soviets liberated. If you start telling me that Soviets occupied what they liberated .......... Nevermind no point talking about it. Don`t forget to check the monuments in the countries the Soviets liberated, what do you see? Churchill? Or the unknown soldier of the Red Army who gave his life to push back the Nazis. Yes there some countries that hate Stalin for what he did. But it`s just business they saved your ass from Nazis pay for it somehow. If you tell me the other allies didn`t do the same that would be a lie. They maybe did it in a different smarter way than Stalin did it, but nevertheless they still did it. |
High heavens forbid that we get a darker, more grim story in in coh2 that takes some of the bad into account as well. Clearly we should stick to glorified censored story telling! (holding up a massive sarcasm sign here).
They could have done the same thing with VCoH, but they didn`t. This is simply the reason Russians are being offended here. Cause God Forbid Relic to tell how the US fought that war and every other Allied nation appart from Russia.
Funny fact; I don`t know if you knew it but when Nazis invaded Greece and were dropping paratroopers on the island of Crete. The civilians and soldiers who were on the island started shooting the paratroopers while they were landing, while by some war law you are not supposed to shoot them until they land, to give them a better chance of surviving I guess. |

The rapping and the killing. There is actually a Russian documentary about it on youtube ( dont rememeber the name) that was translated to English. And actual veterans say what they felt when they was the crimes the Nazis did and why they did to them and why. It comes down to the basic animal instinct of revenge. |

Am I being racist and have a predispostion towards Russians? No. I should of gone into more reasoning in the initial post I made as it may have come across that way and I apologise.
Have I been insulting by naming them 'degenerates'? Yes, I have been and I apologise for that. My insult was aimed at those that do not take all into consideration, such as gameplay, music, sound, graphics and game design. Rather opting to give a 0 because of something that offends them and pushing back all the other hard work Relic has done. I have explained that I do understand their point of view but I believe it to be a drastic response.
Every person has his own point of view on this matter. But it doesnt give anyone the right to insult people. Even the Russian guy who did the video insulted everyone at Relic. Which I find wrong and feel ashamed for it |

The reason I stated that is because people are narrow minded by just giving a game 0 because of a few in-game campaign events. Yes, some people may be offended by it and I can understand their point of view. However, to view something as a whole because of a few events is an irrational mindset.
The Russian army shooting down their own retreating men, soldiers being sent into combat without a weapon or killing POW. Yeah, this is things which occured that rarely happened, however it is all portrayed in the game. I understand that it could skew the understanding and beliefs of people uneducated or uninterested in the events of WW2.
I havn't finished all the campaign as of yet, but I am up to mission 7. I do see some things that make me question upon such as the burning of your own men and some cinematics. However, I do still see a sense of heroism, patriotism and self sacrifice present in the game. If these people are in denial about the dark events that occur during any war, from any side, well they have to open their eyes.
An you find this as an adequate reason to insult them?
