Thread: 70 ammo for just 1 Panzerschreck still, Why?13 Aug 2019, 00:44 AM British Royal Engineers provides better quality as it has more means to provide essential duties. Especially when they can take on most roles decently when the Sturmpio can not as it is currently balanced out now. Royal Engineers are the best Engineers in my opinion since they are a more self-sustaining unit and more of a competent combat unit especially when they can acquire 5th man on top of every purchasable and upgradable acquirements making them much more overall superior in contrast. Sturmpio just deserves to have at least the price of 1 Panzerschreck reduced to 50 ammo. That is all and just so that it has a choice. I mean, is it not already far more superior for Royal Engineer to acquire 1 Piat for 50 ammo or 2 even when they have snares. When Sturmpios dont! In: COH2 Balance

It is simply hard to compare decently enough between the 2 since it is not common at all to encounter USF 50 cals. Due to the popularity of the other base which provides better options which excludes the MG. To be honest, I believe both MG42 and 50cal are on par. Tough I believe 50cal in somewhat superior in terms of both damage and suppression. Especially those AP rounds. In: COH2 Balance

They already have. No, they have not. There is no reason why 1 limited schreck should cost 70 ammo at all! Especially when you can not decide for any other unit to acquire it. For that, it should be 50 ammo. Otherwise all factions Zooks and Schrecks should cost 70 ammo each since that would be adjusted respectively to their performance. Same for Feuersturm doctrine which makes the Sturmpio a more viable supportive unit. Without these doctrines (that provides them with proper equipment), rest-assured, they are not a self-sustaining nor supportive unit without them. These 2 Engineers kind of miss out some relevance as well as reliability on its own. In: COH2 Balance

Since these 2 particularly engineers are neither purchased willingly anymore (since they suck, mid and late but they are only good at repairs and for some mini to no support) unless the player is to forced acquire them. Why, because they are the starting units which influences the game and strategy. Look to that! Do not debate about Riflemen and Volks since they both are clearly fine in their capabilities. It is because I think it should be fixed because it does not qualify at all for costing 70 ammo. I think by now, the Devs or the game should have been fixed this particular issue already by now. I mean, it is quite obvious, is it not? Even then, I would like to have at least another alternative, another AT option, to use with the utmost effect but apparently I do not see any reason why I should invest at all in 1 Pzshrek for 70 ammo. Especially when I am limited to 1 only! What I am talking about, it concerns Sturmpiooners, the OKW faction. Make a hotfix, wont take much effort to conclude since it is quite self-explanatory and to adjust for something that small yet important for the outcome and balance of this game. It would make sense if they could holster the Zook for 70 ammo, it would totally make so much sense but they don't. Plz adjust the price accordingly, immediately or soon. I have been mentioning this before and yet nothing has been done about it thus far! I would say 50 ammo ought to be right! In: COH2 Balance

It is not like every tank destroyer gives a significant boost on the battlefield. They only can handle tanks. Infantry is most often useless. Most of the time you encounter infantry on the battlefield. It is safe to say that to offer them a shell that provides some AI capabilities should not be a problem. Should be more supportive in that way. Firefly, Jackson, SU 85 and Jagdpanzer are not that great. They are only AT, and how often can you encounter vehicles. No wonder the Axis hardly use their tank destroyer as it provides no real support. Allies do kind of suffer in terms of AT thus making them focus heavily on that instead of AI, thus creating a vulnerability gap. ________ Outside topic but if tanks get their HE shells. It would be great if all Anti Tank support weapons get a stronger penetration shell version but at the cost of a slower reload. Than that would be even more balanced of a game. There would be no stupid discussion on nerfing heavies when they should remain heavies. In: COH2 Gameplay

It will completely make mediums disappear. Why would you use sherman if you can smash at 60 range with Jackson or why T-34 if you can smash with SU-85 etc. I do not think it should be that way. The way I was thinking is that the tanks like the mediums whose shells do already offer some AI capabilities will furthermore get enhanced capabilities when equipped with HE shells. Mediums should still remain more viable choice than heavier and tank destroyers when engaging infantry. Mediums HE shells should be a better version in contrast. Tanks which offer up to none of AI capabilities with their shells like Tank destroyers and stronger mediums (like Panther and Comet) should have something. The idea for destroyers and stronger mediums are that the ones that offer hardly any AI capabilities have an HE shell option but it is weaker version. An Example (just to grasp what I mean and these are not real stats) Say, PzIV offers currently 1 AOE but when equipped with HE, it should be 2 - 2.5 instead Jackson currently offers 0 AOE but when equipped with HE, it should be something like 1 - 1.5 The strength of the HE shell for destroyers and stronger medium tanks are somewhere around close to the strength of a PanzerIV shell strength but slightly stronger. HE shells for mediums or those which already offer some AI capabilities with their default shells should have in contrast a far more significant AI boost/bonus. Thus making mediums still better in terms of AI. In: COH2 Gameplay

Lets say you properly engage cover to cover in close range against USF -- It works wonders. Lets say you try to run USF or UKF of SOV down through an open field -- They suck. Lets say you insta pick schreck against a clown car in the right time -- It works wonders. Lets say you insta pick schreck against x3 Penals or x3 Tommies -- They suck. Lets say you go double sturms against a AssEng spam -- It works wonders. Lets say you go double sturms against a Conscript spam -- They suck. Early on they work wonders. Later on they go down (as needed) against allied infantry upgraded with tons of fuel and munitions. They are really in the best spot they have ever been. Maybe lower their pop cap by 1 or 2 but nothing else seriously. I do agree on the statement based on its capabilities in certain engagement scenarios, which is truthful. To say that they are in the best spot. Well, I can not say that is true however. Their 2 major problems are Pzshrek upgrade -- They suck for 70 ammo Veterancy -- Meh, but needs improvements. That is the issue. They can not scale in AI to make them proper. or decide for getting AT at all. In: COH2 Gameplay
