Is the playerbase higher than coh1 when it was released?
About free weekend I have to say that, I'm now a fan of company games (and I bought all their products) thanks to playing free COHO (COH Online) which I loved it and after that, Relic had my money in their releases.
That means, thanks to a free period of time testing a game, COH series had 100$ from me.
I wish that all games had a free testing period, In these days people will not expend their cash just because the intro movie of the game seems cool. |
I think they changed it cause of the Rifle vs Volks reason. I mean its not that hard to get into close range. And if for example you imply it into CoH2 you will have Grens>cons long range and Cons>Grens close range, but then again Cons have oorah, which I believe will make cons OP since they will be able to close in to Grens way too fast meaning the DPS output of Grens would be lower in the whole fight than that of Cons. But I agree the current state where you don`t know if you gonna win the fight or not even if you were in green cover from the start totally frustrates me. I suppose if they lower the armor of all units by 50% this would change somehow?
You can add a penalization to Oorah! (like Rangers and Brits had in coh1) in where, after that, they had movement and firing penalty. That means you can Ooray to reach the same cover as the grens but grens will keep wining after all. |
in CoH1 a cover had a great factor on units because they were dying much faster with lower health units. Rifles crossing red cover were usually losing like 2-3 man in few secs, in CoH2 cons will lose maybe one guy and will reach enemy units.
MG's in both games are otally different, in CoH1 it was very deadly, one could stop the whole blob and kill many while in CoH2 their suppression rate and damage are not sufficient to stop 2 conscript squads

I agree with you and I think that RAM should have less RNG and do some kind of "critical" depending if you hit front or rear (destroy main weapon, damage engine). Also RAM should cost ammo. That would make the use of RAM more wisely and not like everyone does when the T34 tank is close to get destroyed.
Another RNG to fix I think it should be the ISU-152. It's range and acuracy is madness. I would like to see recuced a bit it's range (same with Elephant), and the acuracy in far distances should be decreased. It's not good for COH2 to get wiped full squads from a far distance without having the chance to preserve units. |
And what about when you are winning, and after 10 minutes (me or my team mate) gets dropped.
We know it's not our internet conection because we keep speaking on Skype.

It happens to me as well.
I think it was when being in cover, I hit the stop key.
Furthermore, attack move is not working properly on me. Instead of firing at max range as possible, it seems they keep running towards the enemy! anyone have this bug too?
