Umm, before soviet sniper will take another shot, german sniper will fire 3 times.
I suppose that means german sniper should be doctrinal as well?
Not to mention having sniper vs not having sniper creates extremely HUGE imbalance.

Don't try to fix something that isn't broken with a friggin sledgehammer, because your suggestion goes as far as redesigning the game.
PE Scout car or Armored car could kill an american sniper in less than 1 second, even on retreat...

1. There's too big difference between noobs and pros in my opinion, that's how game is designed. It's not spamcrap or league of loosers where half of the community can win a tournament.
2. I think CoH2 is made for older people that are over 20 and have other stuff to do than playing computer games for the whole weekend
3. Balance also has an impact, who would like to play in tournament where he's obviously gonna rage due to RNG gods?
What could be done to have more players in tournament:
If Relic will host tournament then i suggest a rewards for all participants, R1 loosers will get 1 skin of their choice, R2 skin and commander etc... so everyone would be happy (partially ofc)
Time zones are biggest problems obviously so I suggest to do elimination tournaments first for each time zone region (USA, Europe, Asia) and then host it for all the winners

Why? High armour reduce taken damage. And T-34/76 shoting from front have trouble penetrating.
Because of explosions. There are many russian units with low pen and high damage that can blow up the stugs.
T34 shooting frontal to a Stug makes decent damage atm. Stug have no AI skills and it's more expensive than a T34. |
I prefer be penetrated more often with more HP than as is it atm. (That's what she said...) |
In coh1 Paratroopers came at 2CP (anti vehicle), and Rangers at 3CP (anti infantry & light vehicle).
Can you imagine rangers at 1CP dealing with non vetted german infantry? plus, you had to research grenades. |
I'm pretty sure that german entrenched tanks with command tank aura can survive a nuclear blast launched inside the tank as well.
What are the benefits of that aura tank? I mean in numbers. thanks =) |
